After a long hospitalization, Katherine “Kathy” A. O’Rourke Kroll passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2015 with her loving family by her side.

At the young age of 66, our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt and friend was reunited with her husband and soulmate of 44 years, Tommy Kroll. Kathy was a devoted mother to her son, Jerry Kroll (Toni) and her daughter, Robyn Michelle Kroll Lockhart (Rob). She was an awesome, doting grandmother of her grandson, Tyler and her granddaughter, Simone and was always showering them with love, gifts and praise. She enjoyed family gatherings and decorating for every holiday, often lighting up the neighborhood with Christmas decorations.

Kathy was born on February 19, 1949, in Pensacola, where she lived most of her life. She was a graduate of Pensacola High School. Kathy and Tommy wed in 1968 and were never far apart, sharing life together as business owners of Echo Bowling Lanes, Michelle’s Goonyland Golf and Stateline O’Yes Lotto. In her younger years, Kathy was very active in the Pensacola Women’s Bowling Association. Most recently, she had joined the Krewe of Blues. Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling, casino gambling, flower arranging, art, reading and living for the moment.
