Branden Penegar Memorial Car Show Held (With Gallery)

The second annual Branden Penegar Memorial Car Show was held Saturday at the Gonzalez United Methodist Church on Pauline Street in Cantonment. Penegar, the “Gentle Giant” was a 2011 graduate of Tate High School, an assistant coach for the freshman Aggies’ football program and varsity tennis team, and a member of the Tate High School Student Hall of Fame. He passed away in March 2013 at the age of 20.
Penegar was a active member of the Gonzalez United Methodist Church and youth program.

Detroit Iron…..Beautiful vehicles made by those who were hands-on with their cars and trucks and not computer designed lookalike junk.
Have seen much older cars than these sitting in pastures for decades and they have minimal rust on them….now we have plastic cars.

Love that Nash Metropolitan. When I was a kid, my Dad had one that was black and white. His was a convertible, I believe. I’ve seen this one fairly often. Great car, and it’s so good to see it being driven and enjoyed. Thanks to all for this show, and for preserving and showing these great cars.
