Motorcyclist Injured In Collision With Pickup On Nine Mile Road

A motorcyclist was reported to be briefly pinned under a pickup truck after a Saturday crash on Nine Mile Road. The accident occurred at the Nine Mile Road intersection with Chandler Street, just east of North Palafox. The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening, while the pickup truck driver was not injured. The accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.

He was not rear ended the bike rider was in the westbound turn lane to turn right and the truck came between 2 vehicles to turn on Chandler and his the bike rider as he was turning on Chandler.
Yes, prayers for the driver of the truck, that he finds a good lawyer when the bike rider sues him for being rearended. Bike riders, always assume someone is going to hit you from behind at a stoplight, watch your mirrors for approaching vehicles, tap your brakes so as to flash the tail light, position yourself to one side of the lane & plan an escape route if possible.
