We were at the Tom Thumb across from the accident. I was sitting in my suv when I heard the loudest boom ever. I got out of my suv and could here a lady sctreaming. I called 911 to get them help asap and it didnt seem reported yet. The dispatcher called me back to get a more specific location. I was praying for all to be ok with y’all. I couldn’t even drive after hearing this. Anxiety from my very own similar accident long ago.

    Get Well Soon!

The shoulder on that curve has about an 8 -10 inch drop off since the last paving. Anyone but very experienced drivers will likely lose control or enter the on-coming lane when trying to get back on the road after drifting onto the shoulder in that spot. IMO the county bears a good deal of responsibility because this has been an on-going issue for a LONG time and they just keep putting band aids on severed arteries.

The County needs to fix this before someone dies.

@ Anatasia and Kay – I noticed this really starting up about a year ago. So many really bad accidents in the northern part of the county where the vehicles are destroyed, with so many injuries and/or deaths. I had shared some of them on FB but there were so many in a small amount of time, I gave up. I don’t understand it either. I’m just glad they are not all fatalities.

I wish people would pay attention while they’re driving. In Germany, folks drive way faster and per capita have less accidents- but they give the act of driving their full attention. I’d wager the majority of accidents were more a result of not paying attention and less about speed.

    Paying Attention,
    dman

The reason you see so many flipped vehicles flipped is because they are top heavy. Mini-Vans,SUVS, Hummers etc.. So be careful out there.

Praying everyone comes out of this OK.

Cannot help but notice how many wrecks where the vehicle flips over and lands upside down. Is it just me noticing this? Is it the type of cars we are driving now?

Wow… wish people would slow down and pay attention…seems to be a lot of wrecks up in the Cantonment – Molino areas lately…maybe just because I see this news information for than any other..but please please….. your risking your lives and others and me and my children drive those roads…. BE SAFE
