Marion. I read all of these comments, and did not see anything hateful said……only true things. What was hateful?

@hawghead you are so right. That time of morning they could have been impaired in some way even if it was from getting off work and being tired. Now that’s not an excuse for doing what they’ve done but let’s not throw such hate out there. We all feel we would handle it different but we really don’t know and some of us have children/grandchildren that might handle it like this driver did. Now that I’ve said that let’s suggest to this person to do the right thing instead of speaking such hateful words. Remember if he or she were one of our relatives we wouldn’t want people talking like that to them. Talking to the driving now; I know you are scared, you know the right thing to do and I hope you do it just so the family can have peace. If you didn’t realize you had hit someone then at least come forward now that you see this and admit it. I had this happen to a nephew years ago and it hurts deeply not knowing who did it.

Most likely at that time of the night (morning) the driver was impaired. Not saying for a fact but seems to be the case. They will catch this guy or gal. Someone will see the truck with the damage and turn them in..unfortunately they will not be able to prove the driver was impaired, if in fact they were.

I was always bothered by hit and runs. I asked a state trooper one day why so many people leave the scene after hitting a car or a person and how it bothered me and he told me that most people don’t think clearly after an accident and they panic and run. He told me a story of a woman he found cowering in a closet after a hit and run and she had closed herself in there for 3 days. just a thought.

To EMD, you would think that this would weigh on someone’s conscience , and would make one do the right thing, sadly in this world it is not always the case.

When I was seventeen coming home from school on my motorcycle, a hit and run driver left me for dead. I was two blocks from my house and my mom came upon me when she was on her way to pick up my little sister from school. I woke up in the hospital with no memory of the event. To this day 40 years later I still have no memory of who hit me and left me there on the side of the road. For 40 years that lowlife has lived with their hit and run secret…

It takes courage and commitment to do the right thing. To whoever did this. NOW you’ve made a bad thing worse for yourself. This will haunt you all of your life. Turn yourself in now and save yourself even more grief and fear and the health problems that will dog you if you do not. If this does not brother you,. then you need serious help. Some help only God can give. I’d rather be physically in prison with God as my Friend, than physically free without Him. Right now you are NOT free. It is not too late to do the second right thing.

How can a person just leave someone to die? What is wrong with people!! They may have been able to save that persons life. It takes a soulless person to hit anything and not stop to help. I don’t care if I ended up spending the rest of my life in prison I could not hit a person and just leave them. I hope they catch whoever did this.
