Curtis Arnold Weaver, Sr.

Curtis Arnold Weaver, Sr., 68, of Bratt, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015, in Pensacola. He was born on October 18, 1946, to the late Curtis Alford and Ruth Armstrong Weaver, in Byrneville. He loved hauling cattle and dealing in produce. He also loved bass fishing with his best friend, Doug Reid. He served two tours in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
He is preceded in death by two daughters, Lissa Sigler and Sonja Morgan; grandson, Chad Bueris; and two sisters, Virginia Ward and Edna Carroll.
Survivors include his wife, Olivia Allen “Teen” Weaver of Bratt; two sons, John (Lisa) Weaver of Pensacola and Sam (Holly) Weaver of Bluff Springs; one sister, Malinda (Lyndell) Bush of North Carolina; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Barrow officiating.
Interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Randy Murph, Joe Garrett, Milt Lowrey, John Tharpe, Johnny Tharpe and Jackie Brown.
Family will receive friends Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until service time.
