Cantonment Man Charged With Capital Felony Sexual Battery On A Child

January 27, 2015

A Cantonment man has been charged with capital felony sexual battery on a 7-year old child.

George Gilbert Heady, age 56 of Griggs Street, is being held without bond in the Escambia County Jail.

He stands accused of abusing the young victim multiple times in a variety of ways involving inappropriate physical contact, according to an arrest report.  The victim told investigators that Heady promised to take her shopping if she would not tell anyone.

Heady decline to comment to deputies when arrested, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. He is due to make his first appearance in court in February for an arraignment hearing.

I know personally that I was terrified to tell any adult. I knew he would get right out of jail soon and be very pissed. What if he came after my mother? If the punishment were longer or fatal, more children could speak up when they SHOULD and MUST!

America seems to have a problem with people doing bad things to little children. Perhaps if we learned from other countries how to punish offenders. In some countries if you steal they remove a hand. If you kill they give you over to the victims family. It’s not bad to try a person in court and if found guilty just execute them for these types of offenses. Criminals get punished accordingly all across the globe but here in America the new secretary for the florida department of corrections wants offenders like this to be happy and healthy. There’s something wrong here. If the punishment was extreme then nobody would dare commit the crime.

Look up “capital felony sexual battery Florida”

That is a very serious and heinous crime.
If the cops merely wanted to hold him in custody until the prosecutor decided what to charge him with, he would have been arrested for much less.

Wow all these comments. I remember a case a few months ago where the person allegedly offered a girl $5.00 to keep quiet. It took about six months before he was cleared of any wrong doing. Perhaps we should wait just a little while before breaking out the torches and pitchforks lest we end up looking like the village idiot.

So in a month or so, we’ll see where he went to court and was given that big bad probation for a year. Teaches ‘em every time huh judge?!

Hopefully he won’t be able to deliver pizzas anymore?

If guilty, expedite the rest of his life in prison sentence without delay. We are already surrounded by these predators as it is…the registered sex offenders are in every neighborhood.

Why is this garbage still breathing? There is no fixing people like this guy. He should be given the rope treatment and used as a pineata.
