Shirley Jean Wilson, 85, of Loxley, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014. Ms. Wilson was a retired registered nurse. Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Amy Bell Wheat; brothers, Clyde Wheat, and James Wheat; sisters, Inez Hulsey, Minnie Holycross, Grace Harless and Sara Diehl.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Jean (Richard) Monroe of Loxley; sons, Harold Philip (Sandra) Wilson of Atmore, Joseph Gregory (Marcella) Wilson of Canoe, Jonathon Clay Wilson of Lillian, AL, and Patrick Sean (Kristy) Wilson of Silverhill, AL; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, December 18, 2014, at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Park in Tuscaloosa.
