I would like to say thank you Atmore for the fine Christmas Parade. Some of our family joined together in the Ramey’s parking lot before the parade reached the area. Two young cousins, one from California and one from Pace got to play with each other while awaiting the floats, bands, cars and Santa to arrive. We also, got to enjoy time with my sister who has dementia and in the near future will not be able to recognize us. She enjoyed helping the two great nephews pick up candy as well as put a few pieces in her pockets. Thank you for a job well done.
We enjoyed the parade very much. We were near the end of the route and did not witness any of the problems noted in the other comments. Thank you Atmore for a great family event!
I totally agree with Mary. Probably my last parade with my old car. I stayed tense and on edge the entire time. I just don’t want the liability that goes with it. At times, it was like a mob and not spectators. So sad for Atmore.
It was a beautiful parade, beautiful floats, but completely, totally out if control in the spectators. Little children unattended running too close to floats or cars in the parade, grown people up in the middle of the street fighting, & scrounging for candy with kids, and getting to close to those walking in the parade. It made it very crowded for this band parent to walk with her band!!
