Jerry C. Wise

Jerry C. Wise, 82 of Atmore, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014, in Pensacola. He was born on April 24, 1932, in Mobile to the late Jesse J. and Emma Lottie Tucker. He was an Aircraft Mechanic with Civil Service at Brookley Field, Mobile and NAS Pensacola. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Luvita Wise; son, Jesse G. Wise; sisters, Melba Jean Wise, Mary Joyce Anna, and Charolette Huggins.

Survivors include one son, Jerry A. (Rose Marie) Wise of McCullough; five grandchildren, Jerry Clinton Wise, Jean Peebles, Lisa Marie Burkett, Ariel Wise, and Miranda Wise; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, George J. Wise and James I. (Mattie) Wise, Sr., both of Pensacola and Michael Wise of Panama City, FL; and one sister, Claria Wise of Panama City.

Services will be Monday, December 29, 2014, at 2 p.m. from McCullough Christian Center with Rev. C.P. Phillips and Rev. Richard Daniels officiating.

Interment will follow in McCullough Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Clinton Wise, Jarrod Peebles, Scotty Burkett, Robert Flirt, Dennis Alford, and David Wise.

Family will receive friends Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
