Woman Charged With Stealing $4,000 Pet Store Puppy

November 6, 2014

A woman has been arrested in connection with a stolen dog — a $4,000 stolen dog — taken from a local pet store late last month.

Christine R. Frasure, 33, was charged with grand theft.

The French bulldog was located Thursday morning after police received an anonymous time via CrimeStoppers. She was spotted with the dog by two Pensacola Police detectives and taken into custody. The dog, according to police, was in good condition and was returned to Petland.

Back on October 28, the woman asked to see the dog at Petland.   The employee then brought the dog to a petting room and handed it to the suspect. After a couple of minutes, the employee left the pet enclosure to go to another part of the store Once he returned, he realized the suspect and three-month old puppy were gone.

4k notbad, saw where a Chinese paid $7,000,000. For a new breed dog in China.yes 7 mill. And that dog wasn’t worth going to jail for either.

Puppy mills are the real criminals. Please visit a shelter to get your puppies. 4k…..this should not be charged as a felony, but a simple misdemeanor. However, somebody else should be charged with a felony…….by golly I wonder who should be charged?

$55-$65 at the animal shelter folks! That’s everything including the “chip”. Adopt a pet! $4K for a dog??!! No way!

I felt as if she would not harm the puppy but thought she would sell it far away. I’m sure she will be convicted on this and if she has no record she might get probation and be required to do community service at the COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER for four years and eventually find a dog she can love. She might not be a bad person but just wanted a COMPANION BUT WHY A $ 4000.00 one. With the puppy back where it came from maybe all will turn out well. JUST US FOR ALL.
