November 10, 2014

One person has been taken into custody after the body of a man was discovered shot to death in a vehicle early Monday morning in a quiet Beulah neighborhood.

Terrance Piece Soles, 26, has been charged with homicide for the death of 30-year old Skky Ralphel Shine after his body was found in the 6000 block of Patch Lane. Patch Lane near Castleberry Boulevard in the Blackberry Ridge neighborhood off Frank Reeder Road.

At about 1:40 a.m., Soles contacted the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and said that he had shot someone. When deputies arrived, Shine was located in a vehicle, deceased of an apparent gunshot wound. Soles was in the same vehicle and was taken into custody at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Skky was one of the nicest & sweetest guys. He always had that big beautiful smile when I would ask about is son. It’s been a few years since I have seen him but my heart breaks that this has happened to such a beautiful soul. May his family be proud of the man who was so kind to so many. Heaven has another Angel.

    CONTEMPLATING:
” If evil cannot enter the gates of heaven, then how can goodness enter the gates to hell? ”

Unrelated theological question, but the Bible tells us Satan was in Heaven in the Book of Job. This would imply, evil can enter.

Nor would it say anthing about the entrance requirements for the other. Jesus told us all those who do not enter the strait gate of salvation go through the wide gate. And many there be.

Scripture also tells us those who have trusted in Jesus as their Lord and savior are saved, those who have not are not. Those who reject scripture are free to believe whatever they wish.

    David for giving thanks

My heart cries for his family & friends, of which he had many. I barely knew him, but do remember his beautiful smile & good looks. He was, in fact, “raised right”. He came from “good stock” and was a good man. Whatever was happening in his life recently does not negate that fact. If evil cannot enter the gates of heaven, then how can goodness enter the gates to hell? It’s gonna be alright one day Miss Shine. You’ve just got to get through this initial overwhelming grief. My Mama always told me the good lord won’t put more on you than you can handle, but this has to be the limit. You’ll make it. I know how tough you are. XOXOXO

I don’t know the victim so I wont make judgements however he had a court case next week for drugs and has had issues with the law in the past according to the public records, assault, drugs, child support and domestic violence so maybe it had to do with his murder maybe not. regardless of the circumstances prayers to his family.

Cant believe my brother is gone. We have known each other since we were boys. He grew into such a great, respectable man. Too young to die this early. I pray he finds peace, and my heart goes out to Mrs. Cynthia and his family.

@carrie unfortunately crime, even homicides, has no boundaries to which it will not take place . Btw are you familiar with the Mendes brothers who killed their rich parents to get their inheritance? Affluent(rich) neighborhood. Just one example that came to mind

I hated to hear this! Mr. Shine, was such a quite sweet man. He use to come and clean the offices where I work. He was always so polite, and a considerate man. He walked me out to my car many times when, I stayed late after dark, being the only one in the office. I asked him once, why he did that, he told me, “Ma’am, it’s because I was raised right”.
I haven’t seen him around much since the spring.
(It tickles me that he called me Ma’am, now knowing he was only 5 yrs younger)He spoke to many, about his Son on different occasions., my heart goes out to all of his family.

People are so unattached to reality. REGAURDLESS of what neighborhood this unfortunate event occured in a youngman has lost his life. While yet another youngman has lost his life and probably sanity. This is’nt about Navy Federal or the neighborhood, so please be opened minded and more intouch with the love and kindness that we as a people should have towards one another. My heart goes out to both of these young men family members. I speak this to all of the readers with the love of Christ
