Elbie Jake Pugh

Elbie Jake Pugh, 82 of Jay, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014, in Century. He was a truck driver. He was born in Molino on July 29, 1932, to the late Oscar and Addie Mae Dunman Pugh. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. HeĀ  was of Assembly of God faith.

He is preceded in death by a son, Terry Pugh; and grandson, A.J. Pugh.

Survivors include three sons, Larry (Charlene) Pugh of Atmore, Gary Pugh and Wayne Pugh; two daughters, Elaine Pugh and Linda Pugh both of Jay; three grandchildren, Jennifer Pugh, Larry Pugh, Jr. and Matthew Kyle (Brittiany) Luker; and two great-grandchildren, Cadyn and Kysun Luker.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in Jay Cemetery in Jay, with Rev. Earl Green officiating.

Interment was in Jay Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Larry Pugh, Jr., Matthew Luker, Robin Jay, Austin Johnson, John Brown, and Michael Grenshaw.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc, is in charge of all arrangements.
