Mother And Son Indicted In Murder Of Covenience Store Owner

An Escambia County Grand Jury had indicted Dontonio Diaz Thornton and Willie Mae Thornton with one count of first degree murder-premeditated or felony in the death of a convenience store owner.
The mother and son are accused in the September 13 murder of Phoung Nguyen Truong, 50. He was found deceased behind the counter at his place of business, the T M Food Mart located in the 1000 block of West Michigan Avenue.
Prosecutors said Truong was shot and killed in the course of a robbery.

Where in the world did you all leap from murder victim to not an American. I am so tired of folks posting replies or comments on news stories on this new site with information that is not in the article. You all take liberty to read information into it articles and put it out there.
This is a story of a hard working, small business man who was robbed and murdered by a mother and son, who have now been indicted by our grand jury. Period.
A mother and son?WHAT.It is sad enough but a mother and son.Perdido fisherman is right.Even if not American.He is a human who is working and wants to live.My heart goes out to his loved ones.RIP
Good riddance, we don’t need folks who want to steal from or harm our hard working people. The man who owned and ran this store is just as much an American as you or me. Where’s the outrage?
