Molino Man Charged With Battery On His 87-Year Old Mother
October 13, 2014
A Molino man has been charged with attacking his 87-year old mother with a telephone handset.
The elderly woman called 911 to report that her son, 55-year old Conrad Lee Micari, was drunk and tearing things up in her residence on Straughn Road in Molino. The 911 dispatcher reported that the phone went dead after she heard a scuffle.
When deputies arrived, the victim told them that Micari heard her on the phone with the 911 operator, snatched the phone out of her hand and used it to strike her several times on her leg. Escambia County EMS was called to the home to evaluate the 87-year old, who told deputies that she felt like she was going to have a heart attack.
Micari was “extremely intoxicated” and refused to discuss the incident with deputies, according to an arrest report.
Micari was charged with felony battery on a person 65 year of age or older. He remained in the Escambia County Jail Monday with bond set at $10,000.

oh my god not Conrad, everybody in Molino and cantonment knows him and usually hes harmless but what he did was wrong and he was probably high and needed money for more.shame on you Conrad. I hope your mom kicks you out and lets you live in the woods cause that’s where hes gona be homeless unless she stands up to him. I cant imagine him doing something like that to his mother so something went wrong.he needs a whipping.
Don’t let him come back and live there mom!
He appears to think it was a “cool” thing to do.
Sure hope his mom is okay.
Wondering where this fella lives and what sort of work he does.
Reminds me of the guy a bit ago who beat his mom because he didn’t like what she fixed for lunch. Where is he now?
Maybe the two of them can be roommates in the graybar hotel.
@MaryB — Yes, Ma’am you are spot on with that “despicable”
Teach a kid to drink and reap “rewards” for decades to come.

This fellow needs the kind of help that only a good judge can give him. I think 4 or 5 years should straighten him up nicely. When paroled, he should be restricted from any mind altering substance.
I met Conrad in 1971 at Ransom Middle School.
His condition has only deteriorated over the years and this is what it has come down to.
One word, DESPICABLE!!!
Put him in jail and don’t let him out! Attacking a person who is elderly and hurting them when they can’t defend themselves deserves a harsh sentence!
