James “Douglas” Emmons

James “Douglas” Emmons, 61 of Atmore, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014, at his residence. He was a sheet rock installer, born in Escambia County, AL on October 14, 1953, to the late James Oliver and Helen Pauline Dunn Emmons.
Survivors include his children, Jamie Emmons, Kelly (Gilbert) Asiong, Keith (Ginger) Emmons, Kevin (Ashley) Emmons, Chad Emmons, Haley Emmons and Brandy Emmons; two sisters, Jeanette Johnson and Peggy (Ronnie) Lambert; 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; very special friends, Becky and Doug Rolin.
Services were held Saturday, October 18, 2014, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thuel Pearson officiating.
Interment was in McCullough Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Allen Walls, Tommy Morrow, Anthony Rolin, Rodney Johnson, James Taylor and J.W. Timothy.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
