The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an inmate that escaped from the state-operated Pensacola Community Release Center, which houses work release inmates.

Porter is bald and blue eyed, between 6-feet and 6-feet, 2 inches tall, and weighs about 200 pounds. He was last seen  at 8:29 a.m. wearing a white shirt and khaki pants. He has tear drop tattoos under both of his eyes,  the name “Lisa” on his neck, “S-O-U-L” on this left fingers, “L-O-S-T” on his right fingers, along with numerous other tattoos.

According to Department of Corrections records, Porter was serving a 15-year sentence for a 2001 conviction for conspiracy to commit robbery with a gun or deadly weapon.

Deputies said Porter should not be approached. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact the ECSO immediately at (850) 36-9620 or dial 911.

Oversight, you are the one that assumed, you said another LEO, again the DOC is not LEO, read my first comment again, patriot was right to assume ECSO, as he/she knew DOC was not LEO. As for the girlfriend that everyone is assuming helped him, they each are a prize for one another, what mother would leave her working husband & her kids for an inmate? Really, sorry is, sorry does, he must be some kind of man, I haven’t seen an inmate yet that I would leave my kids for, what a future she’s gonna have, these kids are gonna need lots of prayers

    Oversight,
Apparently, you cannot understand the concept of “law enforcement agency”.
    DOC is NOT law enforcement.
Your perception may be that they are, but the fact is they are not.

She has six kids?!? I’ve only seen a few up there. What a shame. She just screwed their life up

She worked for me; told her he was trouble but it does take two. Can’t believe she left her six kids behind; her husband had to leave work he works out of state. Yes they are getting a divorce. I feel for the kids having to go to school. What a jerk with only 90 days to go…..Both of them will be behind bars now.

Patriot… Florida DOC = LEO agency. I didn’t mention ECSO in my post, so that is your assumption, but it too has had out of date jail pics when it used to run the county jail.

There is a good excuse why some inmates supposedly get abused, since they never do anything wrong lol chuckling, To oversight & Patriot, they sometimes can’t do much when the state doesn’t have the funds & also, the DOC isn’t considered LEO even though they should they do not get the credit they deserve even though they’re supposed to be held to higher standards. Now the state has to pay more for this cat for probably another 5 years & treat him like a king seeing how he made another mistake & shouldn’t be roughed up. being very sarcastic

i thought for certain situations (charges), they were unable to be on work release? Maybe they should be required to wear a GPS?

In response to Oversight; Mr Porter was NOT in the custody of ECSO, he was in the custody of the state work release program.
State work release is NOT a “LEO agency”.
Cops get enough blame, don’t be so quick to point fingers…

Looks like the Pensacola Community Release Center is appropriately named.

    He looks like that still.

Here again is another LEO agency without an updated photo of someone who is in custody. Digital photos – how hard can it be to document inmates as soon as their appearance change.

    @me:
Maybe he is headed north to get out of the South. If you do indeed know him, how?
Jest askin’. There are somethings better left unsaid…like knowing a criminal on the run.
