Escambia (AL) Sheriff Candidate Heath Jackson Endorsed By Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Heath Jackson, Republican candidate for sheriff of Escambia County, AL, announced Monday that he has been endorsed by “America’s Toughest Sheriff,” Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
“I’m honored to have the endorsement from Sheriff Joe Arpaio,” Jackson said. “Sheriff Arpaio has a reputation throughout the country as one of toughest, hardest working members in law enforcement and I am proud to have his support.”
Arpaio’s endorsement was as follows:
“I know the importance of conviction, dedication, professionalism, and the strength it takes to serve in law enforcement. That is why I am happy to endorse Heath Jackson in his run for Sheriff in Escambia County. Heath has worked tirelessly in Alabama and Florida to take drugs off the streets and put drug dealers behind bars. He has worked aggressively as a narcotics investigator and spearheaded countless high-profile investigations that resulted in the successful arrests and prosecutions of criminals involved in drug trafficking, organized crime, prostitution, and violation of gun and explosive laws. I hope the good people of Escambia County will join me in supporting Heath Jackson for Sheriff.”
Arpaio is tae six-time elected sheriff . Known throughout the country as one of America’s toughest sheriff’s, Arpaio has been featured and profiled thousands of times by worldwide news media. Arpaio is a leading voice in the debate against illegal immigration and is known for unapologetically punishing those who break the law in his county. He is famous for building “Tent City,” an extension of the Maricopa County Jail that houses prisoners in un-air conditioned, outdoor military tents, despite Phoenix’s extreme heat and for requiring inmates to wear pink underwear and undershirts.

As a criminal defense attorney I really respect a fair, honest and professional law enforcement officer. Heath is one of the best I know.
I can say it is time for a big change at the sheffifs departmeant from the sheffifs all the way down to the jail staff escambia county needs to wake up and put the right man in office for the job we dont need mickey mouse and his pals in office i used to work for them so i am pround to support heath Jackson for escambia county sheffif

I worked for Grover some years ago, and I will have to say, it is time for a change. As a matter of fact, it has been time for a change for some time now. All you people who THINK you know the Sheriff must not have worked for him. Until you do, you never really know how things work at the Escambia County Alabama Sheriff’s Office. All you know is what the Sheriff allows to be printed in the papers.

This “young man” is only about 5 years younger than JFK was when he was elected president, so I don’t think his age is really an issue. As for experience, I don’t think the incumbent can point to the vast experience Heath has in his decade and a half of law enforcement. Experience working with ATF, Drug Task Force, DEA, local Escambia agencies, and Escambia County, Florida Sheriff’s Office where he has conducted more investigations in 8 years than most LEOs will in their entire careers.
Narcotics, homicide and patrol, Heath knows the ins and outs of law enforcement, to include current trends, topics and the latest investigatory techniques. Heath has fostered relationships with numerous agencies, local, state and federal, and has the ability to call on other agencies to assist Escambia County, at no expense to the taxpayers.
Law enforcement has changed in the last decades, and though Grover has done well, Heath will do better for Escambia. It’s your opportunity to elect a sheriff who will lead your agency, your county, into the future instead of relying on how things have always been done.

As a former deputy for ECSO, I can honestly, and proudly commend Heath Jackson for his diligent fight to become the FIRST Republican Sheriff for Escambia County Alabama! Knowing Heath and his professional dedication to Law Enforcement, I know that he’s the perfect candidate to replace the current Politician and deplete his crony figure heads! With so many crimes on the back burner and incompetent leadership within the staff, voting Heath Jackson for Sheriff will only benefit YOU!
