    Jcellops,
Corey doesn’t want to pay the expense.
He wants “the county” to pay it for him.
Which is to say, somebody else.
That would also save him money as a self-professed habitual offender.

    David for truth

Everett, if I’m not wrong, I believe there are stickers on them stating kids must be @ least 16, also if a business knows kids will be operating under 16, some businesses won’t sell, although I believe some of the smaller ones have kill switches & you can adjust the throttle, but this one doesn’t look very small. To the ones who want the county to build a park, if people don’t have a place to ride don’t buy one.

They are step brother and sister and both are doing good. My nephew has a broken arm and his step sister has a broken leg.

Corey.. Your best bet is to work hard, save your money and then buy about 20 acres out in the woods… I just don’t see the county opening themselves up to a lawsuit for ATV injuries sustained on county property … I could be wrong though.

I just moved from jacks branch a week ago. Lived there for 14 yrs. the law on the atvs not being on the highway is inforced because I’ve been gotten myself several times. Theirs woods all around their to ride in. But you get in trouble for being in the woods as well. It’s plain ridiculous if you ask me. The county needs to open of some sort of atv/off-road vehicle park with plenty of acreage to ride on. Then we wouldn’t have to listen to people complain about laws and we wouldn’t have an accident like this one.

Rodchester, You question brother and sister both 14 years old……..they could have been twins……and yes, they would be brother and sister both 14 years old…..Just saying.

    Children act like children.
It is good these children survived.
It is sad they were hurt, but that’s part of growing up.
Now, if ADULTS always acted like adults, that would be glorious.

    David for blessings recognized

Not sure if there is a age limit on operating an ATV. But ATV’s are not street legal. They were designed for off road use, not county roads.

@Sabrina, please let me know how they are! My son goes to Ransom Middle with them and we live at Muscogee and Jacks Branch.

Just because you live in the country doesn’t mean your ATV can go on any road you find. There are vehicles that are driven LEGALLY on the road and when something like a 4 wheeler runs through a stop sign, that is not something a driver encounters everyday. 4 wheelers and dirt bikes are a nuisance when driving in the country.

@Rodchester ~ I don’t know the people involved, but there are such things as fraternal twins. Also, it only takes nine months (sometimes less) between children. Or, in the alternative, maybe they are step- or half-siblings. Either way, just good to know they are in better condition than they could have been.

That was my neice and her step brother..

Not try to sound insensitive, but 14 is not the legal driving age and ATVs are not street legal. I hate the kids are injured but is anyone being held accountable? What if the driver of the automobile that is a licensed driver were injured? Or if the children’s injuries had been life altering? I am just saying maybe if teenagers are held more accountable for the desions they make they would be less likely to act irresponsibly and things like this would happen less often. I teach and know most Kids today have an excuse for everything. They think they are law exempt until 18. I’m sure these 2 have learned a lesson what the cost was almost immeasurable. I am glad to hear they will recover I hope they never put an ATV back on the road.

Praying for the kids and the lady in the car. Yes atvs should not be on pavement or any road used by automobiles. The counties can build parks for baseball, football, soccer, tennis, etc yet never have they ever built a place for kids to ride atvs. Even equestrian get a park. Land restrictions keep atvs so limited that kids have no choice but to ride where they shouldn’t. Maybe someone will wise up and fix this.

Brother and sister both 14 years old?

I see this and have to deal with it every day; ATV’s and golf carts on main roads. Just yesterday I came up on a 4 wheeler with a guy holding an infant in the middle of an extremely busy road. It’s frustrating and ILLEGAL but police let it go. Maybe this will cause some action to be taken.

It looks worse than it was. They are both in good condition my nephew has a broken arm and has been sent home, his sister has a broken leg and will undergo surgery this morning.

People ride ATV on the highway all the time and the cops do nothing. ATV’s are illegal for highway use and the law need to be enforced.

I totally agree ATV’s should stay off streets and highways, as also I believe bicycle’s
Should stay off streets and highways. It cause to many accidents and deaths. I am so very sorry for these children and pray they both recover.
God please be with these precious kids.

I see ATVs driving on the road and on the edges of roads all the time. I am sorry for all involved, but ATVs should be off road only.
