Poll Shows Scott With Lead Over Crist
September 4, 2014
Little more than two months before Election Day, a new poll shows Republican Gov. Rick Scott with a 5-point lead over Democratic challenger Charlie Crist.
The Tampa Bay Times/Bay News 9/UF Bob Graham Center poll found that Scott received support from 40.9 percent of the people surveyed, while Crist was at 35.7 percent and Libertarian Adrian Wyllie had 6.3 percent.
In a head-to-head race, Scott led Crist by a margin of 43.7 percent to 37.6 percent.
The telephone survey of registered voters was conducted from Aug. 27 to Aug. 31 by the University of Florida’s Bob Graham Center for Public Service and Bureau of Economic and Business Research. It has a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points.

I am voting for Scott and I am a state employee. Unlike the Federal govt. states can’t print money so a governor sometimes must make hard choices.
I agree agree with Lawson! I don’t remember Charlie Crist doing anything to help the people in Florida. I believe when Rick Scott went into office, he declined being paid. I could be mistaken, but don’t think so. At any rate as politicians go, I really don’t think we NEED Charlie Crist again!! AND I can’t believe that there will ever be a time that we don”t pay property taxes.
I like what Lawson had to say. It’s mostly the truth! Kind of like how Government Employees don’t care for the pay freezes and 1% pay increases under Obama. At least Rick Scott has some improvements to show for his efforts! He’s got my vote.
Adrian Wyllie is the clear choice. No more property tax!
GOD help us all if Rick Scott goes back in.
Really? Gov. Scott has lowered taxes, reduced tag fees, and prevented college
tuition hikes. Ole Chuck is a wolf in a sheeps outfit and is an avid supporter of the mess Obama has made. I can’t trust anyone who changes their party affiliation.
Pick any issue, Charlie has been on both sides and in the middle of every issue that Florida Voters consider important. Is he Democrat, Republican, or Independent? He as been all three within recent history. What is he today? Nobody is sure including Charlie himself. Sounds like Charlie is another “hope and change” candidate.
Far better Rick Scott than one who has tried all of the parties to get in. At least Rick knows where he belongs!
Oh Lordy, neither one is a good choice.
I guess the really good choices for leaders do not wish to expose themselves and families to Politics.
Help us ALL.
Actually, Scott has done a good job. The state was in a mess when he took over. You might not like him too much if you are a State Employee, though.
GOD help us all if Rick Scott goes back in.
