One Injured When Vehicle Hits Train On Quintette Road

One person was injured when they struck a train about 3:15 Wednesday afternoon on Quintette Road. A 74-year old male was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital as a “trauma alert”. Shortly after the crash, CSX broke the train apart to re-open one lane of Quintette Road to traffic.
The Cantonment Station of Escambia Fire Rescue, Escambia County EMS and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash. The accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Further details have not yet been released.

@Jason….If he had something happen medically (he was 74) then wouldn’t it still be considered an “accident”? I was just curious since you want to be technical.

These aren’t “accidents”. These are “traffic crashes”. They occur when one or more drivers become distracted and fail to use their common sense and/or adhere to good driving practices
Does every major road in this county have a railroad crossing running through it?
Yikes! Wonder whats going on this afternoon? Accidents on Fairfield and Pace, accident on … ? Was it Davis or 29? Another in Century, and this. Hopefully no one was injured.
