Man Charged With Assaulting Two Women

A man who police said recently robbed two women at gunpoint and forced one of them to perform a sex act on him has been arrested.
Deontra Rysaun French, 23, of 500 E. Fairfield Dr., was arrested around noon Wednesday. He was charged with two counts of armed robbery, and one count each of aggravated battery, aggravated battery on a known pregnant victim, and sexual assault with a weapon.
The incident occurred just after midnight on July 31 when two females – ages 27 and 35 – ere walking in the 3800 block of North Davis Highway. One of the victims told police that the suspect approached them from behind and then forced them at gunpoint to go to the back of a building.
French then ordered the females to lie face down on the ground and struck the 35-year old woman, who is pregnant, in the back of her head with the gun. He then forced the 27-year old woman, whom he also struck in the head with the firearm, to perform oral sex on him at gunpoint, according to Detective Lisa Alverson.
French then fled the area with one of the victim’s cell phones and cash from the other victim, police said.

Fisherman is correct. Don’t pull the race card. Most people who commit crimes get more dangerous. If he were free, he most likely would take this type of crime to the next level. We can only hope justice prevails and he’s locked up for a long time.
Why would you make a comment like that, Perdido Fisherman?!? Is it because he’s a black man? If he had a murderous mind or soul don’t you think he would have killed them right after he committed the crimes this time? He had a gun for goodness sakes!
Put this monster away forever and a day.
We can only hope this guy will never see the outside of a prison again, he will only do it again and the next time he will most likely kill his victim(s).
