Century Starts Budget Talks

The Town of Century will began  their fiscal year 2014-2015 budget process with a special town council workshop Thursday afternoon.

Additional budget workshops are planned for Thursday, August 14; Thursday, August 21; and (if needed) Thursday August 28. Each meeting will be held at 3 p.m.  in the council chambers at the Century Town Hall at 7995 North Century Boulevard. The meetings are open to the public.

The Town of Century’s budget for the current fiscal year is $4.38 million.

    They need to start supporting the kids. The century youth football program needs help but the town doesn’t seem to care about the kids.. the schools closed alone speaks volumes.

    It would seem to me that in this manner Century can have an “open” meeting and yet people who actually work for a living are still at work.

    I’d hate to see them have some of these meetings when people with jobs, that pay taxes, could actually attend. Good work Town Counsel, residents of Century, you will be informed of how your hard earned tax money will be spent if and when they decide you need to know. Carry on.
