   Many of us are being caught by surprise to find that you’ve gone ahead of us to ride with God. Words are blotted out by tears, but then again, Good for You – to have been chosen to go while doing what you loved the most with your horses. Your sense of knowing what our horses really needed to learn, from the yearlings to the older ones, will be missed for years to come. Thank you for your patience with them, God Bless you – you were truly a credit to your family and your horse community. Ride in Peace. Dona-doggoh-ahh-eee.

   They certainly broke the mold when Robin came into the world! Over the years, he became a good friend as well as amazing trainer and farrier. He knew how a horse’s brain worked, how to get him to do what you wanted and how to earn a horse’s respect. To this day he is and will always be the only person who can make my 2000 pound Clydesdale try to hide behind all 5 foot 2 inches of me. When Robin arrived, my big guy knew it was Game On and time to work for his hay! I will miss all the stories he would share, the jokes he would tell, and his patented sayings: “If I [he] was any better, it would be immoral, illegal or impossible” , “He [your horse] always has a choice, my way or my way. If he doesn’t like the first option, make sure he won’t like the second one.” He will certainly be missed by my family and I am certain by many others around our area. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

   Our condolences and sincerest sympathies to Robin’s family. The horse community has lost a great and humble horseman with a lifetime of horse knowledge and special skills.

   If not for Robin, I would not have horses today. He is the reason I did not give up. He was always there for us, without question or judgement, willing to offer his skill, knowledge, expertise, and especially encouragement and support. He had his own unique way of explaining things that my husband calls “Robinisms” which make us smile. When I ride or work a horse, I can hear Robins voice coaching me like he is there with me and it gives me confidence. We will miss our Trail rides together.

   Our friendship grew over the years along with my deep admiration for him as a human being. I am very sad he left us too soon. I guess it was his time. We miss him already. Rest in sweet peace, dear friend and may you ride forever with the heavenly herd.

   my friend please don`t feel guilty it was your time to go we all come to earth for our lifetime and for some its not many years you have on earth you have’t really left even though your gone because you will be missed so very much by

   It was always a great start to a day to have him over to trim the horses then when finished, sit on the back porch for hours talking, telling jokes and he always had to have hot hot coffee. He’s been a dear friend for over 20 years and will be dearly missed, not just for his “horse whisperness” but his over all deep personal concern as a friend. I’m sure he’s still riding in Heaven but now the horses have wings. God Bless you Robin and God be with his family.

   He was a wonderful man. He was a great farrier and very helpful with our rescue horse. He will be missed. My prayers go to his family and all who knew him.
