Molino, Cottage Hill Churches Bid Goodbye To Gantzhorn

A farewell and appreciation reception was held Sunday in Molino for Pastor Alan Gantzhorn of Aldersgate United Methodist and Cottage Hill United Methodist churches.
Gantzhorn and his wife Jackie are being transferred to a church in Jackson, Ala., after nine years in Molino.
“It has been an honor to serve as your pastor for nine years,” Gantzhorn told his congregation. “You have showered your love on me and Jackie in so many ways. Our time serving at Aldersgate and Cottage Hill has richly blessed us. God has now chosen to put me to doing his work in another place; but Jackie and I will always treasure our time here and our beautiful memories of the people of this charge.”
During Sunday’s reception, church and community members expressed their appreciation to Gantzhorn for his service to both churches as well as the Molino and North Escambia communities.

i have known Jackie since 1982 when she took care of our precious son Rhett at Sacred Heart neonatal intensive care—- what can i say about her—she was an angel in our midst—-had a chance again to be with her in 1883 with our dear son Blake—she did what our Lord called her to do. I had not seen her until our Uncle Jack and Ruby McCaskill and their daughter Sherry died and she was again in a role our Lord has placed her —she was the wife of a minister—-and again she has touched so many lives. But again the Lord is placing them where our Lord need them. Love and prayers always Letha Hinson McCaskill
Pastor Alan has been such a blessing to not only Aldersgate but the entire Molino community. His generosity and compassion to the community will be greatly missed. God bless you and your family in your new journey.
Alan and Jackie have been a blessing to our community which will continue to impact our lives long after their departure. Farewell friends.
He is a very special minister and I have enjoyed hearing him speak and wish him well where ever life takes him! He will be missed by so many people!
