Century Man Gets 15 Years In Prison For Drug Trafficking
June 16, 2014
A Century man has been sentenced to 15 years in state prison on drug charges that stemmed from a traffic stop in Pensacola.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in August 2013 for improper window tint on Old Spanish Trail at the Moorings Apartments. The driver, 34-year old Kevin Lamar Brown of Ramar Street in Century, admitted to deputies that he did not have a valid driver’s license.
Inside the vehicle, deputies reported finding a plastic bag containing an unmarked pill bottle containing a large quantity of acetaminophen-hydrocodone pills and a digital scale.
Brown told deputies that he and a female had found the bag while visiting Wayside Park at the foot of the 3 Mile Bridge. He said he was taking the pills to a friend to see if they could be sold for money, according to an arrest report. Deputies also reported finding a plastic bag with crack cocaine and marijuana.
Brown was convicted of trafficking in a controlled substance (hydrocodone), possession of drug paraphernalia, cocaine possession and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Judge Terry Terrell also ordered Brown to pay $105, 568 in fines and court costs when he handed down the 15 year sentence.

How can you say, “Straight up person not your typical thug just making that easy money now time to pay the price . It is ashame that it seems some people get more time than others but its a chance he took .” Go to The Escambia Clerk of Courts and look at Kevin Lamar Brown’s criminal history. I’d say that the court FINALLY caught up to him. 15 years might not be enough with that history!
Did he get extra time for the illegal window tint?
Dang hate it for him . Straight up person not your typical thug just making that easy money now time to pay the price . It is ashame that it seems some people get more time than others but its a chance he took . And he is not the only one guilty where the pills come from to begin with and if there wasn’t so many addicts a person wouldn’t have no need to sell. It’s a never ending problem Dr.s need to be checking their patient’s urine to make sure they are actually taking the narcotics that is prescribed to them might help the problem a little but not completely.. I don’t agree with his choices but I also don’t pass no judgement not my place nor is it yours…
Went to high school with this guy. Not surprised how he has ended up. Tried to fight me in Mr. Welch’s class, for what, I can’t remember. Just remember that he didn’t care about anything then either.
Too bad the doctors at the pill mills don’t get treated the same way.
About time the judges handed this dude some time, read his record on public records he’s like a 6 time felon for drugs and other stuff! had every chance with probation, rehab etc…I just hope he’ll have to do all 15 years! but you and I both know he’ll be back on the street’s in 2-3 years……..
Damn…. this what I’m talking about Football thats a long time away from ya family… I’ve seen actual murders child molesters and thieves walk away with less time than this man recieved… Florida system is messed up
