Flooding Causes Problems In Flomaton

Flooding caused problems around Flomaton Wednesday afternoon, closing portions of Highway 31 near Flomaton High School and Upper Creek Road. All roads have since reopened.

Police were asking residents to stay off the roads.

    I drove past the Flomaton High School on 31 when it was flooded. This area always gets flooded. Someone needs to cut a ditch close to the gravel place and divert the water back to the creek.

    Is Flomaton in any threat of being closed tomorrow?

    Wow! We were so close to it flooding at my house!
