Curtis Baxley

Curtis Baxley, born March 8, 1948, passed away unexpectedly in his home early Friday morning, May 16, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon “Red” and Eloise.

He is survived by his best friend and son, Len; and two brothers, Kenneth (Gayle) and Joe (Sandy).

An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, his dogs, and most of all, spending time with his son. He served his country as an Army Ranger, Special Forces, in the Vietnam War and was wounded in combat in 1968. He retired from NAS Whiting Field Civil Service.

Curtis lived his life in Milton. He was full of life and always had a joke, a smile, or some fish to share with everybody.

Funeral services will be at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 12 p.m. Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm.

Burial will follow immediately at Crain Cemetery.
