Mary Lamargaret Whitehead, 58, of Cantonment, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014. She was a loving wife of 35 years and a loving mother. Mary loved sewing, camping, and spending time with family and friends. She loved to cook, even for the neighborhood children. She touched so many lives and was loved by everyone.
Mary is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Whitehead, Sr.; daughters, Tammy Lassiter, Sophrona Whitehead, and Sheila Grim; sons, Edward Boyett and Donald Ray Whitehead, Jr; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Michelle Boyett and Sheila Rivenbark; brothers, Daniel Boyett and Anthony Boyett; mother-in-law, Carlie Whitehead; father-in-law, James Whitehead, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel North on Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a funeral service to follow immediately at 7 p.m.
Faith Chapel Funeral Home North is in charge of arrangements.

Rip aunt Mary u were such an inspiration to me. A great beautiful woman with so much love to give and share ill rennet all the good memories we had together. It’s not the same and it’s hard now that ur gone but I know ur watching over all of us. I love u so much! U r amazing! I miss u so much! Please watch over uncle donaldray n all the kids like u have all ur life. I love u aunt Mary ill see you when I see u:)

Sophrona Im truly sorry for the loss of you mom i got the chance to talk to her many times over the years that I volunteered at JAE … she was a very sweet lady who loved talking about her grand kids my deepest goes out to you and your family hugs to you all.
