The description of the vehicle and further details about the  wreck were not immediately available from the Florida Highway Patrol as they continued their investigation.

The passenger is okay. He was kept in the hospital due to a lot of pain in his back but he is okay.

Cowardly people to leave the scene of any accident. This brings back horrible memories for some in the area of a young man that passed last year on a 4 wheeler where one occupant of the atv as well as another fled the scene of the accident. I just can’t comprehend why people could do such a thing. I would stick around if I even witnessed an accident where someone was injured. I pray that this 19 year old boy makes it, I pray for his family and for the friends of this boy. This situation is a hard one to get over and I hope they catch him.

i hear of people leaving the scene so often. I understand people panic and are scared and do things they would not normally do, but leaving an injured person to suffer is probably the most cowardly actions one can do. This person that left the scene sounds like a loser.

This adds a whole new meaning to the phrase ” That’s what friends are for. ” The driver doesn’t know it now but he/she is in a world of trouble , and even more so if the passenger doesn’t make it.

Speculation: Driver and passenger were arguing, caused driver to wreck, so he/she, still mad, left the passenger in the parking lot of the First Stop and took off. To make matters worse, the First Stop was out of band-aids.
