ECSO ‘Clean Sweep’ Today In The Milestone Area
April 17, 2014
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and the 9 1/2 Mile Road Neighborhood watch will conduct an “Operation Clean Sweep” beginning at 8:00 this morning in the Milestone community.
The event begins at the Milestone Baptist Church at 3800 Pine Forest Road. Volunteers are welcome.
The focus of “Operation Clean Sweep” is to work with neighborhood watch groups, residents, churches and business owners to control and prevent the damaging effects of crime. The Operation Task Force works closely with Escambia County Animal Control, Environmental Law Enforcement, the military, Escambia County Roads and Bridges, and Neighborhood Watch groups to clean up neighborhoods and educate citizens on preventive measures that could be implemented to minimize crime.
A traffic roadblock will be conducted and the mounted unit will be on hand to assist.

These Clean Sweeps are conducted in conjunction with Neighborhood Watch groups. Our Neighborhood Watch had to request that they do a Clean Sweep in our area and we were put on the list. It took a while but our time finally rolled around. If you have a Neighborhood Watch in your area, try to get involved and contact them to get one scheduled. It’s a one day event so if you’re having other problems, start calling it in to the Sheriff’s dept. or Crime Stoppers with addresses and tag numbers.
Could anyone tell me when the last Littering Ticket was written.
Is that one of those unconstitutional roadblocks they will be doing?
how about alittle attention to certain quintette areas, as well as certain cedar tree areas…its NOT like law enforcement isnt knowlegable about the drug problems there- believe me, they do know….i know it wont stop the vermin, but..it’ll slow em down!
why advertise and let the criminals avoid the area? I would think a report of it’s efforts AFTER the fact would be more beneficial…..
When is cedartown rd in molino’s time!!!
