Egg Hunts, Sunrises Services And More Mark Easter Weekend

Here are some Easter related events planned for around the North Escambia area through Sunday:

CANTONMENT

St. Monica’s Cantonment Easter
Lighting of the Easter fire will be held at 6 p.m. on Holy Saturday, April 20. Family Easter services will begin at 9:30 on Easter Sunday, followed by an Easter Egg hunt and Easter Brunch. 699 Highway 95A in Cantonment.

Trinity Lutheran Cantonment Easter
Trinity Lutheran Church in Cantonment will hold Easter Sunrise service at 7 a.m. followed by Easter Sunday breakfast from 7:45 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Easter Festival services will begin at 10 a.m. Worshippers are welcome to bring fresh cut flowers to join in the custom of flowering the cross. Holy Communion will not be observed at either worship service.

Harvest Christian Easter Services
Harvest Christian Center will hold their Easter services, Sunday, April 20 at 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. There will also be an egg hunt for the children. 1095 Muscogee Road in Cantonment. For more information visit www.cantonment.org or call (850) 937-0605.

CENTURY

Tabernacle Baptist Church
Tabernacle Baptist Church will hold Easter services beginning with Sunday School at 10 a.m. followed by morning worship services 11 a.m. Children ages 3-12 are welcome to attend our Super Church service at 11:00 am where Super kids have a super time learning about God’s word. MOLINO

Highland Baptist Easter
Highland Baptist Church will hold their annual Easter Egg hunt with over 2,000 eggs on Easter Sunday.  Children and families need to meet in the Fellowship Hall at 9 a.m.  There will be a time of worship, singing, snacks and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Easter worship services begin at 10:45. There will be inspiring music, drama, and a powerful message from Pastor Brian Calhoun. 6240 Hwy 95A North in Molino.

Aldersgate UMC Easter
Aldersgate United Methodist Church will hold an Easter Egg hunt, Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. until noon. Holy Saturday Easter vigil will be at 6:30 p.m. Easter Sunday Community Sunrise services will be at 6 a.m. with Pastor Alan Gantzhorn providing the message. Refreshments following. Easter Sunday services begin at 10:45 a.m. and include Easter Service of Word and Table. Compline Services will be held Easter Sunday evening at 6:30.

Molino Sunrise Service
Highland Baptist Church and Aldersgate United Methodist Church will hold a joint Easter Sunrise service on April 20, at 6 a.m. at Aldersgate UMC in Molino. Everyone is invited to attend.

OAK GROVE

Oak Grove Sunrise Service
Oak Grove Baptist Church will hold Easter Sunrise services at 6 a.m. Easter Sunday. The church is located at 2600 North Highway 99.

PENSACOLA

Hadji Shrine Easter Egg Hunt
The Hadji Shrine Center will hold their annual Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 19, beginning at 10 a.m. Lots of games and fun for the whole family. Hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks will be available. 800 West Nine Mile Road in Pensacola.

Race To Grace At 5 Flags
My Father’s Vineyard will host the 2nd Annual Race to Grace at 5 Flags Speedway on Pine Forest Road on Sunday, April 20. Gates open at 9:15 a.m. Services begin at 10 a.m. The Easter Bunny will be there, over 15 thousand Easter Eggs for the children to hunt, and a powerful worship service and a short, impacting message from Pastor Wes Alvarez.

SANTA ROSA

Pace Easter Production
Gulf Coast Productions will present “Jesus, Son of God Easter Lives Again” at Pace Assembly of God Church April 19 – 20 at 6 p.m. each evening. (850) 202-3100 or visit www.paceassembly.org.

West Florida Baptist Easter

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, ALABAMA

Easter In The Park
Easter in the Park, Saturday from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Hertage Park in Atmore. Refreshments, arts, crafts, train rides, etc.

Liberty Church Atmore Easter
Easter services will be held Sunday, April 20, at 10:15 a.m.

Canoe Baptist Church
Easter Egg Hunt at Canoe Baptist Church on Saturday from 10 am.. until noon. Sunday School at 10 a.m., Easter Sunday Worship and  Baptism at 11 a.m. No evening services.

Canoe Baptist Church
Community Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. on Sunday at Canoe United Methodist Church, South Road at caution light.

Flomaton Easter Egg Hunt
The First Baptist Church of Flomaton will hold an Easter Egg hunt at Hurricane Park on Saturday, April 19 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. for children ages 2 through 2nd grade.
