Darlene Dickey Of Molino Makes Run For County Court Judge Official

Darlene Dickey of Molino has qualified for County Court Judge, Group 5 in the 2014 Election. Judicial qualifying began Monday and will end this Friday at noon.
Dickey, 43, was appointed an Escambia County judge by Gov. Rick Scott in April 2012 to fill the vacancy created by the appointment of Judge John F. Simon to the First Judicial Circuit. She had served as the general counsel for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office since 2006. Previously, she practiced with Bozeman, Jenkins and Matthews P.A. from 2003 to 2005 after three years as an assistant state attorney with the First Judicial Circuit.
After completing a bachelor’s degree, she served five years as a law enforcement officer, first with the University of West Florida Police Department, and later as a field training officer with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. Dickey received a bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida and a law degree from Florida State University.

She was one of the most honest and straight forward

This lady has been a LEO, and an attorney. She has seen both sides of the fence. You can be assured she knows the whole spectrum of the judicial system….and, she was not issued a lot of pompous ego along with that black robe. Good luck Judge!

Darlene Dickey is the very example of what a lawyer is SUPPOSED to be! She is free of ego, never, ever is she pretentious( the unpleasant quality of people who want to be regarded as more impressive, successful, or important than they really are). She is very book smart, something I just cannot seem to grasp! Integrity?…she’s all about it..ethics?…makes her momma proud!
You won’t see her getting into trouble, like two other judges who are currently sitting on the bench. Darlene is just a regular person and she knows how to treat people…period! She doesn’t just do things right, she does the right thing; every time!
So, Judge Dickey, if by chance someone decides to challenge you to that seat, I will come running to your aid. I will give you what little money I have. I will stand on a street corner, holding your sign, and acting like a knucklehead; waving at every car as if I personally know each and every person in the vehicle. Yeah, I know it’s crazy to give my money (that I don’t really have, but my kids can afford to miss a meal..heck, so can my wife) away and stand in the hot sun while getting a sunburn on my bald head! But for you, I would do it!!!!!!!
I only ask one thing of you, Darlene….tell my wife I was only kidding about that meal thing…really…I was. Dang, she’s mad!
