John Gibbons is my nephew and it is such a tragedy that a so called “friend” could do that to him and his friend Chris for no reason other than to want the things that he had as in his money. I wish i could go into it more but it will have to wait till the start of the trial that starts Feb.23,2015. My nephew was the kindest person that you could ever meet, he would give you the shirt off his back to a friend or even a stranger if need be. Feed someone…anyone even the accused one he fed at his home and it’s a cryin shame that he chose to end there lives for NOTHING, taking away our family member much less his friend Chris and what his family has, and is going through b/c of this senseless crime.I hope and pray that when all is said and done that this man will pay for the grief he has caused for our families. For those wondering if he is guilty (the man charged), the evidence states it all and thank goodness they have quite a bit of it. Pray for the best outcome and someone is held accountable for this crime, he DID NOT deserve to leave this world so soon. Take a look at the page that a friend created for him, Justice for John Gibbons and you’ll see pics of him with friends, family and just what a great person he really is. RIP John, we love you!!

Terry I am with you, there are way to many thugs in this town that at best get a slap on the wrist and then are back out on the street back to their same old thuggery. 1st degree premeditated murder should have only one sentence: DEATH.

If he is indeed the killer may he get nothing less than the death penalty.

“We all know that a arrest in escambia county does not mean they have the guilty suspect in custody”. Why so negative, you put in your post ” let us not forget he is innocent until proven guilty”. Then slam Deputies and investigators that have been working hard to solve this crime. Lastly as you know a judge in good standing signed the arrest warrant which means that probable cause exist to affect the arrest. Just saying.

I’m really glad that there is some progress bring made on this case. This was such a horrible crime and the families deserve to have some answers. I wonder if there is any connection to the young mother who was shot in the face in her home a few months ago. Whatever the case, before anyone begins making cruel remarks about a man they don’t know… Let us not forget he is innocent until proven guilty. We all know that an arrest in Escambia Country does not mean that they have the guilty suspect in custody.
