K-9 Regional Trials Going On This Week, Public Demo Planned

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, the Pensacola Police Department and the United States Police Canine Association are hosting the 2014 Region I K-9 Trials through Thursday.
K-9 competitors from across the region are competing in a variety of events, including competitions in obedience, agility and criminal apprehension. As part of the competition, the public is invited to a free demonstration at 7 p.m. Thursday at Woodham Middle School, 150 East Burgess Road, to showcase the skills of the dogs and their handlers.

Thank you so much for letting us know about this. A friend and I attended this event tonight, and it was really neat. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Please let us know if they do this again. Everyone should see this. Beautiful animals, and very professional looking handlers. Loved it.
Amazingly smart dogs. Some of them were taught commands in another language and then have to adjust to English.
These are the most beautiful and amazing dogs. I have seen one of these dogs work and they know their jobs, but don’t touch their partners . They protect will them with all they have. Love these dogs.
If you have never seen these dogs work, you should go see them. They are really amazing and beautifully behaved.
