Public Workshop Tonight On Nine Mile Road Widening Project

The Florida Department of Transportation will host a public workshop this evening concerning the reevaluation of a study for widening Nine Mile Road  from two to four lanes beginning at U.S. 90/Mobile Highway  to Pine Forest Road.

The meeting will be held  from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Plainview Baptist Church, 1101 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola. There will be no formal presentation. Maps, drawings and other study information will be on display and FDOT representatives will be available to answer questions.

    Yes widen from 29 west. Don’t start in the middle of nowhere and work your way to town. That’s just dumb FDOT. Dumb.

    Better to widen Nine Mile Road from Pine Forest to Hwy. 29 and also Pine Forest where it bottlenecks with two lanes at Detroit Blvd. up to Nine Mile Road. I really don’t think the proposed plan would be of best service to us all. It’s dangerous to get in and out of my street early mornings and late afternoons because of the congestion.
