I only have hospital records, Can I still get an I.D.
Where does the Constitution state that homeless people cannot vote? An ivory tower can make it hard to see things clearly.
I don’t think the article said they would be handing them out to anyone who got in line, nor did it say they would be giving out Voter ID cards – the requirements to vote are still the same for everyone.
Being homeless doesn’t mean you aren’t a citizen. Many homeless do keep those identifying items with them, among their few possessions. Remember, many have a valid military service ID because they are veterans who protected YOUR right to vote.
Most homeless do not have their SS card or birth certificate. They were either stolen or loss . That is some of the problems that they have being homeless.
Not in my wildest dreams would I expect a homeless person to be walking around with a birth certificate and a social security card. Heck, even I would have to hunt those down in my house. Out of the social card generation where it states it is not to be used for identification purposes (and states this on the card) it’s not an item I carry around with me.
…but they don’t need an ID card to vote!
need a card to get a meal…but not vote…
need a card …
Wonderful news! Now they can all hurry out to vote. Gotta love this universal suffrage.
