Frederick A. Lambert

Frederick A. Lambert, MSgt, USAF (Retired), born October 14, 1938, in Oneonta, New York, passed away in a peaceful setting holding his wife’s hand and is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Frederick is a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church of Pensacola.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years. Marian Lambert, his son Rick Lambert of Pensacola, and daughter DeAndre’ Brown of Delhi, New York.  Frederick has nine siblings and is survived by his sisters Lillian SaSanno of Moorehead City, NC; Marie Giambalvo of Binghamton, NY; Dorothy Shaw of Strawberry, AR; Rosanne Garrison of Davenport, NY; and Priscilla Stubbins of Tucson, AZ.

Frederick was a proud member of the United States Air Force.  He started his military career in 1956 as a jet engine mechanic in the United States Navy.  After three tours aboard aircraft carriers in Vietnam, he moved to the US Air Force while remaining in the same career field.  He concluded his 21 year career serving as First Sergeant of the 5th Munitions Maintenance Squadron in Minot North Dakota and retired in 1977.

Frederick was a loving grandfather to his granddaughters Leighann, Lindsey, Dana, and Kaéla and grandsons Alex and Jeffrey.  He is also a great-grandfather to Jeannette, Keeria, and Devon.  Frederick never failed to help someone in need and was always willing to help, never asking for anything in return.  You were blessed to have him as a friend.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 28, 2014, at Hillcrest Baptist Church from 10-11 a.m. with funeral services immediately following.  Interment will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 Hwy 29S, Cantonment,is in charge of arrangements.
