As a former store manager of 14 years for several major pizza delivery companies,I will tell you delivery drivers do not stay very long .They must be replaced with drivers at havent figured out yet that the mileage, gas and wear&tear on your automoblie will not equal what you think your pay and tips should be.I have hired drivers with new cars and in a few months they are replacing brakes, then a few months later there warranty has expired. One of the biggest serects in the pizza delivery business YOUR AUTO INSURANCE MAY NOT COVER YOU ON THE JOB,IF THEY FIND OUT YOU ARE USING YOUR AUTO FOR DELIVERING,THEY MAY CANCEL YOU.If your kid or you want to work inside the store as shift manager ,customer service or cook it can be a good way to pickup a little extra money safey.NEVER LET ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT BE A DELIVERY DRIVER! Also remember TIP the delivery driver well,They only split the delivery fee with the store, the drivers part is to cover the mileage, gas and wear&tear.
