Leo Nathaniel Luker

Bro. Leo Nathaniel Luker, Jr., 67, of Atmore, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014, at his residence. He was a second generation owner/operator of Luker & Sons. He was born March 30, 1946, in Atmore to the late Leo N. and Luverne Gates Luker,Sr. He was a pastor for 32 years and was the Pastor of Poarch Baptist Church for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steve Luker.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Steadham Luker, two sons, Leo (Barbara) Luker, III and Jonathan (Jennifer) Luker; one daughter, Ashley (Derrek) Wilson, all of Atmore; one sister, Rheada (Jimmy) Dukes of Loxley; and four grandchildren, Lauren Wilson, Blake Luker, Dillian Crutchfield, and Noah Luker.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 12, 2014, at 2 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dexter Truesdell and Rev. Jimmy Dukes officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
