Almost a year ago, that was me, it was not the fitst time i had been arrested for prostitution..but thank u kesus it was the last..after that day i realized that i had a serious problem and i have been sober ever since. I am in school and loving my life. there have been other prostitution stings since then but unlike most of these ungodly people i choose not to judge. instead i do what my father told me and i pray for the addict who still suffers. it is not my place..those women don’t know the gospel but u people do…its sad knowing that for those who are informed, the punishment will be greater..

If everyone only knew just how many pastors .. doctors .. lawyers .. police officers .. husbands .. teachers etc are paying for sex .. people always want to blame the girls but with out the men purchasing there would be no prostitution .. supply and demand and the men demand to be supplied ..

I was broken hearted to hear what happened. I myself blame a lot on how easy you can go to such sites on the internet, “THE DEVILS PLAYGROUND”! What Brother Ward did was wrong. I am sure he knows this, But JESUS Said YOU WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE. Be careful for the LORD loves everyone including SINNERS. For the ones that say they don’t go to church because of what has happened to Brother Ward, How fast do people judge a Christian? Even though he fell he will get up in Jesus Name! Why? Are people so quick to judge a man of God who fell? Then go so far to use that as reason not to go to church. I PRAY that you all can understand what I’m about to say” ALL FAR SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD”! We will not be perfect until we met him in the clouds! all need god, We all need church, We all need to Remember we are All human and make mistakes. But not to go to church at all because a sinner sits on the pew or stands behind the poll pit? We are all SINNERS that’s why Christ died for us! Remember the second greatest Commandment ” Love Thy Neighbor As Thy Self” All my Prayers are with the Ward Family and the Church Family!

All of these comments about not judging and giving someone a second chance are directed towards the preacher. I will bet none of them give two cents about the girls. I actually feel sorry for them. Who knows what kind of background they had. Back to the preacher. Does anyone really believe this is his first time doing this? His second? His Third? What are the odds of getting caught on your first visit? Can you imagine a troubled wife in his congregation trying to get counseling from him on her marriage? Is his mind on helping her or himself? These brain dead people are actually talking about keeping him. Unbelievable. They may want to check their till too. How was he hiding this expense from his family? If they were wise enough to sniff a little they would smell the skunk.

Maybe it’s time we leave the preacher alone. I know when I was down and out and really needed a truck for my job, he came forward and found me one that was very dependable and priced within my budget. Anytime I needed tire or brake work he would do the job at a reasonable price or give me advice on how I could do it myself. He earned my trust to the point all I would do is walk in, tell him what I needed, and ask how much. He would give me figure and with no reservations I would say lets do it. He has saved me quite a bit of money. He is a great person with a kind heart. He deserves our forgiveness.

These prostitutes are not sex slaves!!! Yes, they have chosen what they do. They chose to do drugs and get hooked and start selling their body for the next hit. I do not feel sorry for them at all, they have chosen their career. They all know that there is a way out and they know what they have to do to make the next step. At this point drugs and selling their body takes priority over getting clean. Look at what drugs have done to the appearance of these woman. They all look in the mirror every day and see what and they have become, and if they still choose the streets , so be it. To all the guys picking these prostitutes up, you are more disgusting than they are , they are filthy trash and you are lower that that. One look at these pictures and a man with common sense will walk away . By the looks of these prostitute’s, you can catch a disease a mile away. SO yes I think you are retarted when you say that they didn’t chooses what they doid.

  10. Heather on January 8th, 2014 2:14 pm

If your using the bible to judge people, then your reading it wrong. It is not our place to judge anyone. All we can do is pray for them.

  11. Anonymous on January 8th, 2014 11:38 am

Can we not focus on just the preacher? These other men might be leaders in their business, owners of business, teachers, counselors?

More importantly I fear most are missing the fact that most women and children in prostitution don’t choose it but it’s chosen for them.

Prostitution, buying and selling of people. Human trafficking. Let’s not pretty this up.
Florida has the highest rates for human trafficking in the country with Northwest Florida being the highest in the state per capita. What these people did was NOT OK.

Why is there such disproportionate concern about the Church Pastor versus the Prostitutes? The women range in age from older than me, to my eldest child’s age. I’m sure they all have a story. And I’m sure they could all use prayer, God, and probably a little help. Will any Church volunteer to provide help for any of the women? No little girl grows up wanting to be a prostitute. They’re all likely victims of abuse and/or have drug problems. We’re they all just arrested so their names and pictures could be put on display to show our deputies are hard at work? We’re they just arrested, processed, and released without any care or help? I’m sure the pastor will get plenty of prayer and assistance. And, sadly, I’m sure most of the ladies arrested are too broken to care and too broken to even be humiliated.

Just wondering why none of these crimes showed up on ECSO crime map? It might be nice to know where this was happening in our community.

  14. M.H. on January 8th, 2014 5:21 am

Imagine if your deepest darkest secrets (even if they were only in your mind) were laid out on a public website for everyone to judge and criticize. Kinda scary huh? The Bible says if we judge we are subject to judgement. It also says we have all fallen short and will continue to our entire lives.Yes If I were head of a church I would step down but make no mistake as long as Steve continues to believe and trust in God God will use him. Everyone of us has story. Prayers to everyone in this article.

  15. Cpsycho36502 on January 7th, 2014 10:45 pm

if you think the women older than their years, you have to realize that most of them are in this life or are working in a this manner because they’re usually addicted to crack, but more likely method.

  16. NOT shocked on January 7th, 2014 9:42 pm

This would have been a better news article if these where real criminals instead. These are just people paying for something that some get for free. Just tax ‘em and let them go; leave the jail space for murderers, drug dealers, thieves and pedophiles.

  17. Brandon on January 7th, 2014 8:51 pm

I use to work at tire place with mr ward, could not ask for a better man. He would give you the shirt off his back, and really nice to work for man I hate to see this about him and his family but we all have a demon or two that we fight to keep under control don’t we? Just because we see the face of his demon does not mean we are better than him and need to bash the man, we just need to fight our demons harder to keep them outta site man!

  18. One affected on January 7th, 2014 5:09 pm

To those who say don’t judge the pastor because one sin is not greater than the other, let me let you in on somehting. One sin is not greater than another but one sin can affect more people than another. When you are in a “paid” leadership role i.e. professional athlete, politician, pastor, etc, you are held at a higher standard. This man pastored married men, women and children who looked up to him and provided his salary. He used God’s money to pursue to scum of the earth and may have cost people their souls. He will be responsible for all affected by this that may quit church or never come to God. Scripture says he will have that blood on his hands. Any one that would support anything other than this man stepping putting down his pride and stepping down is a fool. And a man that would bring his wife to set under this man is just as bad.

  19. bewildered on January 7th, 2014 4:34 pm

It is especially bewildering to know that Mr. Ward continued to preach the straight and narrow path of salvation, while yielding to his fleshly, dark soul. How did he justify his own sins in his mind in order to deliver the messages allegedly laid on his heart? Solicitations for prostitutes don’t just pop up on my computer screen; I am assuming he actively pursued such websites to appease his manly needs. He needs intensive therapy to overcome his addiction to sex. That is the only explanation for a man so highly esteemed by many to risk losing his church, his wife, and his daughter. His daughter spoke prematurely about the church supporting him 110%; they don’t! They learned of this heinous betrayal via internet on Monday, January 6!!! He had an opportunity to let the church know what had happened, yet he didn’t this past Sunday. Asked forgiveness, but didn’t say for what. This troubling news was relayed to church members by this website and facebook. Very embarrassing and hurtful to the church family. Most are completely stunned by this unexpected turn of events. While they can and will forgive, irreparable damage to the church has been done. I hope in time the church can recover and come out stronger than ever. Members of this church are a wonderful, loving and caring group of people. They didn’t deserve such betrayal of their confidence.

  20. Theresa on January 7th, 2014 4:33 pm

I would like to thank “Molino” for the most informed response I’ve read! I work around women that have came from this background and it “IS” 9 times out of 10 due to sexual abuse mostly as a child. I’ve heard horror stories that I could not possibly dream up nor comprehend! Most of them involve family members! People with deep emotional pain do many things to dull that pain, to make it go away if only for a little while. This is done through drugs, alcohol, sex whatever it takes to make it stop for them! NO ONE signs up to be an alcoholic, prostitute, adulterer, etc. You are looking at broken men and women with an addiction. They should be loved, and prayed for instead of throwing rocks at them. God said “YOU without sin cast the first rock. I think that pretty much disqualifies all of us.

“Every Mans Battle” is a book ALL men should read because lust is everyman’s battle. Men, if you are truthful with yourself you will agree. This is an area that EVERY man must guard his heart and eyes in. You may have not physically acted on this sin, but I’m sure at some point you’ve done so in your mind/heart. Both are equally the same. Getting caught….both ways you’re caught. God knows what you do inwardly and outwardly….don’t kid yourself into thinking you’ve gotten away with anything. God does love and forgive; however there are consequences to sin and poor judgment. Each person will pay their own.

This biggest problem I see here is people are looking at “these” when they should be looking inward and then upward. Don’t trash them, pray for them. If you do not believe in God I pray that someday you will because you are missing out on the most amazing, fulfilling personal relationship ever! All sin is sin and we’ve ALL committed it. Thank God he offers redemption with grace to those that ask for forgiveness. My heart aches for all the people involved.

  21. Linda on January 7th, 2014 4:19 pm

Concerning the pastor. We that are spiritual should restore that one that is weak considering ourselves lest we be tempted of the same sin. Praying for this pastor and His family. Never should we be judgemental, and throw this man to the dogs. That’s not what Jesus would do. He would say “Father forgive Him, Go and sin no more.” Although we can’t agree, with the sin, we must love the sinner.

  22. someone on January 7th, 2014 2:47 pm

you have to be a sick individual to pay any of these females for sex. I wouldn’t have them doing my yard work. I would definitely go with out before I approached any of the girls pictured. Says a lot about the guys that are paying for it on the street. To the girls pictured, get a new career, you are all disgusting, dirty , and I would rather be six feet under than be in the same room with any of you.

  24. Libby on January 7th, 2014 1:18 pm

You can believe Brother Ward has repented. The Lord has put Brother Wards sins under the blood of Jesus. People had better leave it under the blood and pray for them and his church. When a church binds together and prays there is so much power that goes forth from the Lord. It is best to touch not the anointed of God. Anointed of God is not just preachers they are saints of God as well. There are saints of God that pray everyday for people that do not attend church. We are not your enemy.

  25. Divorced on January 7th, 2014 1:07 pm

Well At least the pastor is not divorced. He can be forgiven for this. If you seek out a prostitute you can still serve as a pastor or deacon. But if you get divorced you are done.

I am so tired of here “THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT”! You know know every time you say that your praising Satan (I bet he gets the biggest smile on his face), the devil love to here how he makes us do things. The truth is we are all human and God has given use the ability to choose right from wrong. So no the devil didn’t make them do it, they chose to make the wrong decisions and they will have to take that up with our Lord, just like all of you who made the wrong decision in judging these men and women. Y’all too will have to one day stand before your Lord an answer for your judgments. Our Lord and Savior says all “Sins are created equal”.
To all men and women and there families:
Everyone of y’all are in mine and my families prayers God always comes out on top just have faith….

  29. Read the Article correctly! on January 7th, 2014 12:09 pm

People READ the article correctly!! The first set of people were arrested for being street prostitutes… They DID NOT use the people in the pictures above nor did anyone arrested hire them.. I don’t read that anywhere anyway! Come on people, it was a sheriffs office set up.. They use their own people!

  30. Lorie on January 7th, 2014 12:07 pm

This is really outta control! No one has stopped to think that Escambia County is ranked second in the state for most reported cases of women and children and is ranked 12th out of 67 counties in Florida for the most reported HIV/AIDS cases. One out of 44 African-American males living in Escambia County is HIV positive. Twenty-five percent of all new AIDS cases in Escambia County were in people 25 years old and younger!!! And I think we rank #1 for Syphilis! Think about that!

  31. David Huie Green on January 7th, 2014 11:55 am

    i know,
If you check further, you will find a record of past drug charges for some of these ladies. It is common to turn to prostitution to support the expenses of recreational drug usage. This is why pimps historically like to get girls hooked on drugs: as a means of enslaving them with the fear of getting cut off if they attempt to quit the sex trade.

As to why it is illegal, wives pushed to have it outlawed. Husbands obeyed.

And comparing spending money on a date to paying for sexual services is probably why some feel justified in raping a woman during a date if she doesn’t offer her favors after the money has been spent, as well as why some victims do not report date rape because people like you have convinced them they were obligated to submit. Please reconsider.

    David for recognizing differences
    and consequences

ok i looked and did not see anyone i know but i did read all of the comments and all any one wants to bitch about is the preacher so what he likes sex like the rest of us get over it did any one notice the age of some of the girls some looked like they were 20 years older than they should be (1) none off the girls have drug charges why only two people were picked up on drugs and they were not prostituting (2) the reason this is against the law. county is not getting there tax money (3) when you are dating do you not spend money on that date in hopes of getting lucky yes you do that is legal because you are paying taxes so why run them thru the system its not helping the girls and the tax payers are now getting screwed by the county so if the girls want to do this find a place were they can work regulate it tax money is made they are off the street and the ecso can work on real crime

  34. 429SCJ on January 7th, 2014 8:49 am

@Citizen, yes it should be legal what adults do, but there are public health issues here that need to be addressed.

In Europe these woman would have regular health exams. The working women in Europe appear healthy and groomed, these poor women appear sick and diseased, no insult intended.

I personally do not find prostitution a savory occupation. It is something that cannot be made to simply go away. It can be regulated, it can be relegated to areas where it will not be a nuisance to the public. In Germany for instance there is a chain of saunas that offer the services of a client/hostess environment.

  35. Concerned on January 7th, 2014 8:11 am

As I sit and read through the comments, I can’t add anything to what has been said about those involved. GOD knows the hearts of ALL of us. We are not in a position to judge any of these individuals, because we are all sinners. I would like to humbly submit to those who find a special guilt with this pastor, or those who never darken the doors of a church, please take your eyes off of man….any man. Men (and women too ) will fail you. We are born with sin surrounding us & it’s no mystery that many fall into that trap. Please turn your eyes to your creator . In HIM & HIM alone is there healing & restoration. GOD hates the sin, but he loves the sinner!!! I pray that if you don’t know him, have a personnel relationship with him that you take this article & let it stir your soul. To all of you in the article , we will be praying for you.

  36. Compassion on January 7th, 2014 7:56 am

What is so amazing about God….Pastor, worker, son, daughter, sinner, anyone who ask him…God will forgive their sins..forget them and if you continue in his forgiveness and love he will restore….lets have compassion like Christ does…and to the ones who have sinned ask for forgiveness and go and try not to sin no more…you can do this…

  38. Billy D on January 7th, 2014 4:41 am

I believe if it’s taken seriously, he can no longer stand at the pulpit and preach the word of God. He’s quite positively broken one of the 10 commandments, “thou shall not commit adultery”. I don’t feel for him at all, he did it to himself. I feel sorry for his wife and family. They did nothing wrong to deserve this.

  39. jw on January 7th, 2014 2:53 am

He He. Sooo many comments could be made about their looks, and names. Look, it is illegal, and while what consenting adults do in the bedroom should be legal and a woman choosing to charge for access to her own body we can debate…it is illegal right now. Therefore, they should not be getting into these situations. After the last round of these arrests, I looked up these “pages”. It’s amazing how many massage therapists…who aren’t licensed…or massage therapists, advertise online for our area. “donations”, “disclaimers”… as if you can have your lawyer argue, “I put on my ad that I wasn’t an escort”…”his money magically made it into my hand”…”it was consensual, he was just giving me a gift”… ain’t going to work. Besides, you all aren’t the sharpest…i found it very funny the ads with the same picture, different name and different AGES, hilarious. All the good people should go on those sites, and spam these escorts. Run them out of business here. It is quite blatant what they do online, and your teens could EASILY get enticed or involved and in trouble. It is as if they just throw it in good society’s face. Spam their ads, or call them and set up a ton of appointments. What are they going to do, sue you for lost prostitution wages, ha?! Take a gander around our area sites, you won’t believe how bad and prevalent this is here!

  40. Everett on January 7th, 2014 2:33 am

I’ve know Steve Ward almost 40 years. He is good guy. He’s made a mistake. Because he is a pastor doesn’t mean he’s not human. However as a pastor his hypocrisy has been tested in public view. He just got caught unlike others in the religious circuit who have not been publicly exposed. Lets not be too quick to judge based on materialistic/flesh motives. God is the final judge and last the last word when we stand before him.
Also don’t let what Steve Ward did discourage you from the big picture of what Gods love and purpose is in this world. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

  41. AAC Member on January 7th, 2014 12:35 am

  48. apostolicpreacherswife on January 6th, 2014 10:03 pm

I know the preacher personally and I know his wife and daughter. It breaks my heart to see a man of God fall into Satan’s grip. My pastor has urged our church to pray for him. Not to cast a stone. The bible says its better for a millstone be tied around your neck and you be cast into the sea than to offend just the least of his. And right now I am pretty sure God has shook his head and cried. And I know that Bro Ward feels like the least right now. But if you was to read your bible and look at Davids life. Look at the mistakes he made and yet he was a mighty man of God. I don’t know if he will go on preaching or will step down. But whatever he does I will be praying for him and his family. The only difference in this sin and the one some of us may have committed today is he got caught and we didn’t. But in the end everything will be revealed on the house top. Prayers from this Apostolic Family to the Ward Family and Church Family!!

  49. doofus on January 6th, 2014 9:34 pm

Mistake? Swearing, speeding, outbursts of anger are mistakes. Soliciting a prostitute, not. That’s premeditated. A pastor represents their church, their family, their denomination. Mistake…. I think not. If this was my pastor I’d wish him luck with his next congregation.

  50. JDM on January 6th, 2014 8:08 pm

This statement is directed at you folks who find it amusing when someone in the church falls from grace and you find it necessary to kick them while their down as a coward will always do. Yes this man fell into sin, if the charges are true, and he fell farther than most because of the position he fills but I can promise you no one feels lower the he does tonight. David committed adultery and then had the womans husband killed to hide it, Adam fell from grace in the garden and thereby passed on to all of us the penalty of sin. Its and ugly thing but it is here with us and will be until Jesus comes back and removes it for ever. I urge you to be careful about digging pits for others because according to scripture he that digs a pit for another just might end up in it himself. I’m so very sorry for your children being denied the only thing that can offer them Eternal Salvation by someone they respect and love, I urge you Sir, rethink your stance on Christians and the chuirch, give them a chance. We’re not perfect,,,, Just Forgiven.

  51. Whoa! It's Mr. Ward! on January 6th, 2014 7:52 pm

WOW! I would never have guess Mr. Ward would have anything to do with this. Though me and him have had some brief, yet rough, dealings in the past, I do feel so bad for his parents. He is the father of one of my old and once best friend, and I was really shocked to see this.

Though it’s easy for me to say that karma got him, or something vengeful, I wanted to say this. Everyone makes mistakes. That’s how life goes. Everything you do is a big lesson, whether it’s a major screw-up or just a minor one. I’m not saying this is okay in any fashion or form and he should serve his time, but I am saying that a lot of you aren’t so innocent yourself. The only difference is that he got caught.

I never liked him, but I do have much remorse for his family, specifically his wife and daughter and her husband. Their church is in my thoughts as well. The Wards are a tough family, and I imagine they will have the strength and hope to get through this.

    Steve, Karen, Emily
Nicole and I send you all of our love and prayers. My heart is in so much pain for your family right now. Anyone that throws a stone at this man and his family in their time of need shame on you. I have known this whole family for a very long time and even a Preacher makes mistakes. Satan is real and he is laughing thinking he has torn up a good man and his family, make no mistake GOD WILL COME OUT ON TOP. The only difference in US CHRISTIANS is we are SAVED BY GRACE. Our sin is just as real no matter what it is. Please know that we LOVE, AND RESPECT U. Emily I am so proud of the way your parents have raised you to stand up for your dad and not lose respect for him. Just this week we watched a mother be put to rest by the hand of her son. She also was a woman of God and raised her son in the church. SATAN IS REAL AND EACH ANGRY WORD TOWARD ANY OF THESE PEOPLE CHRISTIAN OR NOT only makes him laugh out loud at his work. make sure you reflect on yourself for at least a moment because we answer for our words not just our actions.

These arrests will certainly drive down the murder rate and restore Pensacola to being safer than Detroit. It will probably solve all of the burglaries too.

I am not much of a church going person but I do believe in GOD. Who are we to stand in judgment, only GOD can. I hope your family and your congregation can find forgiveness in their hearts and GOD can give you the strength to carry on. I am behind you. A friend

  55. Judged on January 6th, 2014 7:03 pm

Hmmmm……….. Its amazing that we aren’t supposed to judge but preacher man has always judged me because I didn’t live the way he did. I go to work, pay my taxes and love and pray to God. Let this be a lesson, now maybe you won’t be so judgemental from now on…..

this is sad for the prechers family.some are no better than others. even preist has sex on the brain and high paying preachers has been caught. it is not the church that should forgive, its up to the man above. do not judge this people.the girls look young and may noy have no where to go or have been abused or drug additive.they look terrible but some look old to. this is whats on our streets making a living.but these men take a chance taking home a diease to their family.whats on their brain? you think you can trust a doctor, preacher, well theres other with high paying jobs that do this but has notgot caught yet. its a shame men have sick thoughts.and if i was his wife no way would he get in my bed for awhile.he would have to go get help of some kind. i feel sorry for the parents to have to face all of this. we will pray for the familys.

Looking at the women in these pictures is heart breaking! No little girl says when I grow up I want to be a prostitute, I want to sell my body and soul. These women are someones daughter, sister, and most likely the majority of them someones mother. They are drug addicted but before they became drug addicted, homeless, prostitutes something else horrible happened to them. The vast majority of individuals who suffer from drug addiction (Male or female) suffered some type of trauma in their life often sexual. I’m not giving them a free pass, just trying to help provide some true insight into their lives and evoke a little empathy from all those who feel so high and mighty while sitting in your warm, safe home, sitting behind your computer, while these women are homeless on the street (most of them are listed as transit). How about instead of judging these women you get involved with helping them off the streets.

As for the men, sexual addiction is just as real as substance addiction, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bi polar disorder, ect. It is a mental health issue as listed in the DSMV, it can be treated and overcame. Once again instead of judging lets offer helping in fixing the problem. I don’t recall ever reading in the Bible that one sin is greater than another, sin is sin.

By bringing the sin to light the family members are also hurt. Frankly I don’t need to know the names and faces of these people this is something that they need to deal with within their family and I guess one case their church. I pray for empathy, compassion, forgiveness, love, and healing for all those involved.

For sexual addiction I recommend a book called Every Man’s Battle: Winning the war on sexual addiction

I know 11 of those girls. Trust me, they’re guilty. Not one of them made it easy on me on the street but I thank God for that because I straightened out my life after not having any choice. They’d have killed me or let me die. #HeartlessOfAmerica

  60. nod on January 6th, 2014 5:59 pm

ha ha, you do not know what you are talking about.you base your comments on a few. i will tell you this, all church goers are not christians.

  61. Guilty already? on January 6th, 2014 5:47 pm

Have any of them pleaded or do we all just assume they are guilty because of the way they look? I mean according to most people here (Christians….really?) They have already been tried and found guilty. We can’t assume all of these people are guilty just because they have been arrested. And for those saying this is a sin and illegal, well sin only matters to those who believe in Christ and illegal is because society thinks it’s immoral. My personal beliefs is that yeah its not a good thing but who the hell am I to judge.

  62. troubled on January 6th, 2014 5:26 pm

I know the preacher and think he is a good person!!!!! Not everyone is perfect and some fall in error of their ways, but I am thinking of all “YOU GOOD PEOPLE OUT THERE JUDGING”,AND NOT knowing the WHOLE STORY!!! Don’t judge unless you know and walk in his shoes.

  63. m.s. on January 6th, 2014 5:25 pm

We all make mistakes. No one is perfect. Sin is sin and Gods word says what is done in darkness, will be brought to light.Sure is a lotta light shinning down right now.

  68. jeeperman on January 6th, 2014 2:41 pm

    To haha,
    Amen brother, Amen.

In this day and age, the only mistake made was getting caught.
They all knew well that what they were about to do was illegal and a sin.
    PERIOD

  69. Jim one forgiven on January 6th, 2014 2:39 pm

I would never try to justify what this minister has done but, I would like to say ” You that are without sin cast the first stone” Sin is sin but those that are in leadership make a very big target. When a minister falls others fall with him.The only thing that I can say is thank God for giving all of us a forgiving heart.

  73. haha on January 6th, 2014 1:47 pm

Ha ha ha, i absolutely love it when members of a church get busted. No, not everyone has sins as deep as this. These same people put their noses up at other for just not going to church and want to tell you how to live your lives and raise your kids. They feel just simply stepping in a church will solve your problems, as the family shows it just to hide your head behind the cross and not deal with the problems at hand. ‘If you go to church you must be a good person. Exact reason why I refuse to go to church or allow my children to, they are all a joke and snobs around here

  74. Anonymous on January 6th, 2014 1:24 pm

Pastor or not, what these people have done is horrific. Yes we all make mistakes and we all sin. The grace of God and shed blood of Jesus covers that but as a person that see’s shades of gray human trafficking is the lowest of lows. Prostitution is the buying and selling of PEOPLE that is human trafficking and it is not okay and it is more then a simple mistake.

  75. A mother and wife on January 6th, 2014 1:03 pm

We all make mistakes, the ones that say such horrible things are the ones that have not been caught for their wrong doing!! Prayers to all involved!! For help, for love, for strength, for hope, and for forgiveness!!

  76. Ward on January 6th, 2014 12:52 pm

Emily and family, please know that there are many of us out here praying you through this. Steve is one of the nicest people I have ever met and I hope things work out ok for him and for your family.

  77. uh huh? on January 6th, 2014 12:40 pm

I understand forgiving people for mistakes but I hope the preacher is stepping down from his position. People like that do not need to lead a church.

  78. Emily on January 6th, 2014 12:19 pm

That pastor is my dad and my mother, husband, and I, along with our church family, are behind him 110%. EVERYONE makes mistakes, even ones like this, but fortunately for most of us, ours isn’t blasted out to the public. No, I’m not making excuses. Yes, he was dead wrong. I’m just saying that he needs our love and prayers more than our disgust and hatred. I’ll back him up til the death.
