ALERT – Highway 97 Open, Highway 29 Open

[Update 1:30 pm.} Roadways in the North Escambia are once again open.
Highway 97 and Highway 29 are both open. There is some ice remaining on the northbound Canoe Creek Bridge at last report. The Highway 4 bridge between Century and Jay is also open with some ice.
There are no specific openings or closures on the county roads in North Escambia. However, there is ice on some less traveled road and ice on many county road bridges as of 1:30 p.m.

William, THANK YOU for keeping us informed of the roads that were closed and dangerous, You have done an outstanding job as usual. Did an outstanding job of posting all the pictures that people sent you and you ventured out to take.
THANK YOU to all the personell that also was out keeping the roads safe and helping people that were on the roads. Firemen, deputies, and all the others that had to sometimes stay on duty for many hours. THANK YOU!
Ok, Im done with the winter fun. Lets grab our extention cords and hair dryers and kick this ice OUTTA here! lol

I have enjoyed the snow and am ready for it to go away. We are not used to being home in the day and had forgot how bad things on TV can be. Having William on hand kept us sane and want to say a real big THANK YOU to him (William). I have enjoyed the pics. and all the information you gave and hope you keep on doing it.
