@Rox – I agree that the story doesn’t quite match the situation at the wreck, but I’m sure those “errors” are simply a result of accidental confusion on the police report. I do know the driver pinned in the Chevy truck was male. Regardless, I am praying for full and speedy recovery for all those who were involved in this terrible accident.

I hope all will recover. This accident brings to light the dangers of Hwy 29. This happens a lot, going the wrong way, most of us have seen ths more than once. The county or state needs to add a street light at all cross overs and intersections of the highway. They should also add WRONG WAY signs every 200-300 feet. It is very easy to get confused, even for a resident on the Roberts Rd south to Ten Mile with Old Palafox traffic. I hope we can get some improved safety lights and signs.

The people in the Chevy are my cousins and their little girl and they are all 3 still in the hospital, the man in the jeep needs a blood test and was clearly his fault driving the wrong way!!! Please pray for my family !!!

    >>Many errors in this reporting…

There are no errors in this story. It accurately reflects the Florida Highway Patrol report.

This was a horrible crash! The people in the Chevy were a lot better off than the people in the Jeep… Many errors in this reporting…

Not the first time I have seen people going the wrong way on that stretch of road. I turned onto northbound 29 from Kingsfield Road once at about 11PM and some girl was headed southbound in the northbound lanes.

Can you really not tell you are on the wrong side of the road?

“Vice Security” said they were getting gas at the Speed Mart and the Jeep was going up the Wrong Way on Hwy.29. He’ll probably be answering some questions on into the investigation. Sorry for the injured, hope they recover soon and the injuries weren’t too severe, I hope.

I hope all to be okay as soon as possible.
Looks like maybe someone tried to make a left hand turn.
