Billing Software Upgrade To Cost Century $17K

December 4, 2013

The Town of Century has approved a $17,000 upgrade to their water, sewer and gas billing software.

The town last upgraded their inHANCE Utility Solutions Software an estimated 10-12 years ago. According to Mayor Freddie McCall, the upgrade price would have increased 30-40 percentĀ  if the town waited until after December 31 for the upgrade.

Harris, the company that makes the inHANCE software, currently has 6,500 utility customers and is considered a market leader in utility billing software.

Mayor McCall and Century Town Council, thanks for being proactive and getting this in place before the deadline and saving the town some money and modernizing the town’s billing and accounting ability. I realize running a town is similar yet much more complex than running a business. It is impossible to please everyone, especially when things change, But what is life about but continual growth and change? Without positive change, things can stagnate decay and die. I for one appreciate your efforts and foresight and share your hope and vision.
