‘American Pickers’ Coming To North Escambia Area

The American Pickers from the History Channel are coming to the North Escambia – Pensacola area in January and they are looking for people with barns, warehouses, buildings full of odd, unique, and interesting collections. They also love to explore the history of the locations tied to the items.
Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, are longtime “pickers” or as they call themselves “modern archaeologists”. They drive the back roads of America knocking on doors, digging through barns and basements, and sifting through junkyards and warehouses. The dirty, rusty treasures and antiques they pull out of these places are not just given a new life; they’re saved for future generations to appreciate. Along the way the guys meet the amazing people and interesting places that make America great.

To the people who have these items I suggest that you hang onto them and if you REALLY want to sell them do a little research or ask around to a few people on what the item or items may be worth but bear in mind they are really only worth whatever someone will pay you for them, that being said the show is fun to watch but when I see something that is easily worth double or triple what they offer and then act like they are doing YOU a favor by taking it off your hands that’s when I change the channel. I do appreciate them coming to Pensacola and showing us in a positive light.
I wish I had a barn for them to pick through. It would be fun and I wouldn’t mind hosting them all day ‘cuz I think they’re good people.
Love their show. I wish them luck on their findings.

They only pick a few items not worth your time letting them pick through your barn, or antiques. It is pethic that they dont buy more for your time and energy hosting them and their crew.
Yay! Their coming back to Escambia for the 2nd Time!!!
First time the came was to Pensacola, last season, to the Fish House an the East Hill Annual Yard Sale.
This should be interesting…hope they put it on TV.
American Pickers is one of my favorite shows. I’m sure they will buy a old motor bike. They always do. If you find out in a few months when the show will air let us know.
