Working To Help Molino Dollar Store Cats
November 10, 2013
Members of the Junior Humane Society were out in Molino Saturday raising funds to spay and neuter a feral cat colony that lives behind the Dollar General in Molino.
Volunteers collected donations at Jimmy’s Grill, a neighboring business on Highway 29.
“The kittens can be socialized and adopted out but the older cats are completely feral so we are trapping, spaying or neutering and releasing them back to the location where we trapped them,” said Junior Humane Society volunteer Ashley Sui. ” We just have to get them to stop reproducing.” She estimates there are at least a dozen feral cats in the area.
Donations can be mailed to Junior Humane Society, 901 Williams Ditch Road, Cantonment, FL 32533, made online at Jrhumanesociety.com or there is a donation jar at Jimmy’s Grill.

Just dropped a donation off @ Jimmy’s Grill in Molino….it’s a good thing you are doing…keep up the good work!!
What a great thing you are doing!!
The kittens are being rescued and adopted out. I have 2 that we have trapped already. One is super loving and about 8 weeks old. The other is a little skittish but has come a long way since I brought her to my house a little over a week ago. All of the ones that can be socialized will be adopted out. Unfortunately the completely feral kitties will be released to live out their lives as they know it. But by spaying and neutering, the colony will not continue to grow.
Way to Go Junior Humane Society!!!! Y’all are making a difference!
Must be a Dollar Store thing, Theres a large group of cats behind the store in Cantonment as well, have watched some lady feeding them back there for years.
Sad the feral cats cant be adopted out..everytime i go there my youngest wants to take them home with us lol.
