Tate, Crestview, Niceville Shootout Tonight To Determine Playoff Spots

November 4, 2013

Update to this story….click here.

A three-way “shootout” between Tate, Crestview and Niceville tonight will determine which of the two teams will head to the playoffs.

The shootout, to be held at 7:00 at Niceville, will determine the district champion and runner-up.

The night will begin with one quarter of play between the Tate Aggies and Crestview. The winner advances to play one quarter against Niceville.

If Niceville wins, they take the district title and their opponent (the winner of the Tate-Crestview quarter) will be district runner-up with both teams advancing to the playoffs on November 14.

If Niceville loses, the winner takes the district title and Niceville would then play the loser of the Tate-Crestview quarter with the prevailing team named district runner-up.

3 way tie in their district between Crestview, Niceville, & Tate:

    Niceville beat Tate
    Tate beat Crestview
    Crestview beat Niceville

I still do not understand all of this. Two weeks ago, we were told Tate was already in the playoffs. Now, all that changed because Crestview beat Niceville? Please explain the whole process in it’s simplest terms because I simply don’t get it.

what a way for Niceville to sit pretty. Tate is a second half team that beat Crestview…in the second half. Crestview has very little if any chance to beat Niceville…….. NICE setup!!! Good luck Tate, hope you guys bring the A-game tonight.

so you work, and you practice and practice, and play your heart out…and then your fate is decided on a 20 minute three-way “shootout”…?

Does not seem right. How many teams are even in the district now?

Thank you for posting this on your website. PNJ has not publish the detalils in their paper. Or at least all I saw was a little two line blurb yesterday.
