Molino Man Pleads Not Guilty Of Juvenile Sex Abuse, Bond Remains At $1.6 Million

November 6, 2013

A 61-year old Molino man charged with sexually abusing a teenage family member remains in the Escambia County Jail with bond set at $1.6 million.

Eddie Williams, a resident of Blake Street, has entered a not guilty plea on three counts of sexual assault by a custodian with a victim age 12-18, two different counts of lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim age 12-16,  and incest.

During an interview with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, the victim said Williams first withheld certain unspecified items from the victim while soliciting her for sex.  She eventually had sex with him three to four times.

Williams admitted in an interview with investigators that he had sexual intercourse with the underage victim, according to an arrest report.

    Dave,
I do understand your point, and at one time I felt the same way until a very close family member molested my daughter and my niece. My daughter was 8 years old the first time it happened. My niece was 15. This went on for years without anyone knowing.
When it all came out, we tried to prosecute him. He denied everything, even though there were 3 victims, AND he failed a lie detector test. We were told there wasn’t enough evidence. He was ultimately convicted of a felony charge of “Lewd or Lascivious Conduct By Person 18 Years or Older & a Felony Battery Charge. So his punishment was 1 yr probation and to attend ONE sex offender class. Thats it! My family is split apart now with 2 young girls lives ruined.
So Dave, That is why I have no faith whatsoever in our Justice System when it comes to these low life pigs. I know what the lasting effects are. In MOST cases they are released back into our society to repeat their behavior over and over. Noone seems to think about the victims left behind who never got justice for what happened to them when they were innocent little girls. So I guess you are right, I do speak out with emotion, as any mother would do. There is not rehabilitation for these “people” (and I use that word loosely). They continue to do this throughout their miserable lives and just leave the victims in their paths.

    Molino mom:

I’m all for burying this animal alive but we have to let the system work. It surely Will especially with his admission. Acting on emotions will cause trouble but using logic and reason assuredly prevails. I’m sure the cops or investigators wanted to just ice him right on the spot when he admitted it but we are a nation greater than any impulsive decision ever made. We don’t are better.

wow, he admits to having sex with her, even kept items from her to coerse her in to having sex with him and THEN he pleads NOT GUILTY?? Wow, not only is he perverted, he has a serious mental lapse of reason as well. We can only hope that a GOOD judge will get this case and not let him walk out with less than a wrist slap.

He is 61 years old! What a shame. I’ll bet this isn’t the frist time he’s ever done this. Perhaps the bravery of the under-aged victim will prompt others (if any) to come forward too. These sex abusers don’t usually stop at one and obviously he hasn’t stopped in his old age either.

I hope this child/minor will be praised for the bravery. It’s not easy to admit or file charges – especially when it is a family member. So much pressure. I hope this child will have a lot of support to get through this and the upcoming trial.

He WILL get time in prison – it never seems like it’s long enough though. I hope one day the victim will know what it means to forgive (for his/her sake) in order to move on and have a better future.

Sick pervert! He needs to be buried under the jail! He pleads not guilty, but admitted he had sex with the victim? What a great justice system we have that even allows this!
