Cantonment Teen Killed In Well Line Road Crash
November 21, 2013
A Thursday afternoon single vehicle crash claimed the life of a Cantonment teen.
The Florida Highway Patrol said 18-year old Thomas Lavaughn Hennessey of Cantonment was eastbound on Well Line Road near the Cantonment Ballpark about 3:20 p.m. when he traveled off the pavement and over-corrected, causing him to lose control of his 2002 Ford Ranger. The pickup overturned, partially ejecting Hennessey, who was not wearing a seat belt, according to the FHP. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Escambia County EMS.
The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.

omg tommy i miss you so much i remmeber me you and courtnee hangin out i will miss that
I had to drive by this accident right after it happened, and of course I knew someone had passed away because of the white sheet. My heart go’s out to Tommy’s family and I really am so sad that he was so young and had so much more to live for. This family is in my prayers, and I just want them to know that even though they want him here with them, he is in a very good place. The Good Lords arms!!!!!!! You are all in my prayers.
Tommy had a good heart and help those in need. It is a shame that a young person passes this way. My condolence to the family.
Tommy and Susan, I’m so sorry to hear about little Tommy. I can’t imagine your loss. Jason flipped his truck several years ago and I know I was a wreck. I know I’m far away but know my prayers are with you. He will be joining Ma, Grampy, and Uncle Frank in heaven. They will look after him.
Live to you both.
Tommy and Susan,
We were so shocked to hear about Lil Tommy. He was a good kid and he will be missed dearly. We are praying for each of you and your families. Please let us know if we can do anything at all for either one of you. God Bless, Joe and Kim Robinson
Susan, I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine the pain. My prayers are with you.
omg tommy ill miss u

Another tragic death. Seatbelts DO SAVE LIVES! I know this from dealing with these wrecks for over 30 yrs. My father was an USAF pilot and a firm believer in seatbelts. The car didn’t move until we were all buckled in (and this was when they were not required in the 60’s and 70’s). His teachings followed through and I grew up using them and asking all who rode with me to use them long before it was the law. I just didn’t feel right without it on! I had a “young and stupid time” and didn’t have mine on one night and we did basically the same thing this young man did but we were in a car and it didn’t roll, we just went backwards into a power pole. I ended up in the backseat! A little faster and I could have gone through the back glass and slammed into the pole myself! Neither of us were badly injured but that really opened my eyes about how a seatbelt can save you. I have been wearing it ever since…. I hope you will teach your kids just how important it is. They DO LISTEN….. I know, I’m one of them!
Praying for the family. God grant you peace during a very tragic difficult time. Sorry for your loss. God Bless.
Many prayers for you in this to.e of sorrow.
Susan, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.
So sorry for your loss. It is really hard during the holiday season and it is never easy losing someone, much less a child. Praying for your family.
I wish people would wear seatbelts, they do save lives. This is the 2nd accident in 2 days wear the driver wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was ejected and passed away…the 1st was right by my house… May you RIP young man and my thoughts an prayers are with you and your entire family and friends…May god help you all find peace
Sorry for this young persons family and friends. Once more “not using seat belts” and partly ejected. Please use the safety belts when you are in a vehicle.

Prayers and condolences for this young man’s family.
We need to never let up on stressing the importance of seat belts. I feel that school and public safety officials as well as our churches and civic organizations need to work together.
We need a revival on automobile safety.
Susan, I am so very sorry for your loss…I will keep you close in my thoughts in the coming days and weeks…
