November 22, 2013

The following Boil Water Notice has been lifted.

A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for some customers of the Cottage Hill Water Works System.

The following streets are included in the notice:  807-1400 North Highway 29 , Neal Road, Pinetop Lane, Brookhills Drive, Rose Petal Lane, Forehand Lane, Knollwood Drive, Hillock Drive, and Ridgeway.

The notice was issued following a water main break. A crew has repaired the main and is flushing out the lines. Residents are advised that there is a possibility of discolored water as a result of the break and flushing, and to flush their home’s plumbing by running their taps for a few minutes. I truly am concerned for our community… Cottage Hill Water Woks, Inc. really needs to find a way to contact people when our health and maybe even our lives may be in DANGER. I have terminal cancer and can not afford to get some kind of bacterial infection from contaminated WATER.. Please find away to notify all customers In the future. You truly need to invest in a Phone tree that will call all customers .. Let your employees go to the homes of the ones who don’t have phones. Thank You ! …. (phone tree may not be the correct word for what a computer can do . Contact a computer place for what WE need )

Great another boil notice!!! The last one was issued yet the resend notice was hidden in the comments section of the last notice issued. I kept looking for a new posting & finally called the water company. What about the people who don’t know to check online to get the notice, such as my elderly neighbors. A better system needs to be in place to notify the residence of boil notice and when it’s safe to use water again. Very frustrating as a resident in the area. Seriously considering buying bottled water these days from a delivery service!!
